Hello! I'm a new member to this society!

I'm an avid worshipper of all things Yuffie x Vincent, and am not far off in worshipping all that is Rikku x Auron.

I'm not a particularly good writer, but I am at least half-confident in my ability to draw. So I've got that.

My Deviant Art is http://foxygirlchan.deviantart.com/ , Although all I ever really draw are doodles. I'll get around to doing a commited drawing soon. I swear.

Anywho, I guess I'll give you all a heads-up whenever I post some new art with these two! :3

Oh, and please don't look at "WRFD" in my gallery. It's horrid and I shall re-draw that in due time.

Yo! First post to the... seemingly dead community. I joined mysteriously out of my memory. (Must've been asleep.) Thought I might as well post something because I seem to have a large - and growing - stock of Yuffentine and Aurikku (I'm a rabid fan of both pairings; Aurikku seems to be captivating my attention more at the moment) fanfiction. I'm La Editor on ff.net, hello starshine. :]

Yuffentine fanfiction:

Concrete
Oneshot; rated T
FFVII universe
It doesn't make them human, but it doesn't make them evil, either.

Pretend
Three-shot completed; T
KH/FFVII semi-crossover
Yuffie tried to let it go. She really did, but some wounds just don’t close and she just kept pouring on in that salt.

Pieced Together
Oneshot; T
KH, mentions of FFVII
On why Aerith (Aeris) has a hole in her stomach. Why Cloud hasn't smiled for a while, why Cid fingers that same pack of cigarettes. Oh, and why Yuffie is crying in a coffin. That too.

Aurikku fanfiction:

Laugh At Clocks
Oneshot; T
FFX
The pilgrimage failed.

Children
Oneshot; T
FFX
A wake up call for Auron - the red butterflies are the prettiest, after all.

Parallels
Oneshot; K+
FFX/X-2-verse
They were some pretty sucky last words to the last girl you kissed, and the last time you kissed her.

Apple
Oneshot (drabble-ish); T
KH, mentions of X/X-2-verse
Rikku on picking up apples, red as overcoats from days long past. It sucks to have what you're trying to move on move with you... in most cases.

Happy As A Clam
Oneshot (drabble); K+
KH, mentions of FFX
Yuna's secret hideaway is right between '101 Ways Not to Kidnap Dalmations' and 'Cooking Paopu: Side-Effects Included.'

Heya guys!!

Since request are allowed, I think I will settle on this community to place mine. I am one of those people who needs every pairing I write to have an icon of its own, but the fic I'm writing right now does not have an icon, and I cannot find one. I'm a bit of a perfectionist, so graphics I like are hard to come by. I know there are a lot of really talented people in this community, however, so I would really appreciate any help.

I'm looking for a Rikku/Auron icons (FFX). No words, well manipulated, characters from the game (not fan-art), and I don't care whether it's the Rikku from the first or second game. :) I don't have any particular images that I love and can offer you, but I think THIS is an amazing picture of Rikku, as well as THIS ONE, of course. And the pictures where Auron has his sleeve down are ones I like too (like this one), but any pic of Auron would do perfectly.

I would greatly appreciate any help. As I usually do it, the person who makes me the icon I adopt gets the story dedicated to him/her. :) It's the only payment I can offer. This would be my first story with the pairing and the fandom, so it's kind of a big deal.

Thank you in advance!

Margot.

The Company (The name being The Company seeing as the head of the marketing department [who passed away] saw it fit to name it something simple so that people would aways say in conversation 'What is the name of The Company where Jimmy works?' and they already knew the answer giving them a slight boost in ego) produces everything, sometimes good in nature, sometimes bad. Everything is always good business. Competition for the top spots are fierce, the positions filled with prestige, the interoffice drama thick with suspicion, tension, betrayal and perhaps even love?

Do you have what it takes to make it at The Office?

HOW TO PLAY

The entire premise of the game is that the characters you apply for are in an alternate universe- meaning that your characters have a different canon than presented in their fandom/series. Somehow, through some method (be it word of mouth, checking your e-mail, letter in a bottle, sea turtles - anything) you heard about this company, and seeing it as an opportunity, you decide to join. You submit your resume and you are brought here (if accepted).

Interested?

If this isn't allowed, just let me know and I'll delete the post.

X-posted everywhere.

Note from Riku- and Sora-muns; WE COULD REALLY USE A KAIRI IF ANYONE WOULD LIKE TO JOIN.

There's a great, relatively-new Wiki out in that big ol' internet, one that is attempting to collect information about fandoms and their fen. Being an <strike>insane</strike> helpful person, I decided to start an article about the Aurikku fandom and all you wonderful people that make it up. ;) And then, because I love punishment, I started an article about Yuffentine.

I've only recently joined the Yuffentine fandom, so I'm not really suited for the job of chronicling the major events, but I'm going to give it the old college try. Pease, if you remeber specific dates, important websites and fans, or have any story recommendations, leave me a comment. Or, better yet, add your information directly to the article.

Here are the things I'm currently looking for:
- Big name fans Who do you consider important fans? What did they do to help the fandom?
- Important fanfiction What stories do you consider important? I've listed Gabi-hime's "Shape of His Heart" and Guardian1's "Sunshine in Winter," but I need more. Which stories are the oldest? Anyone know when the *first* Aurikku and Yuffentine stories were published? Also, anyone know the original publish date for "Soldier of Spira"?
- Kerfluffes Were there ever any fights within the Yuffentine fandom?
- Websites Are there any important websites out there?

Here are the two articles: Aurikku and Yuffentine.
Challenge #1 - Repost

I'm restarting the challenges here in hopes of reviving our poor, dead community. These were started as fanfic challenges (and that is still the preferred medium) but since we don't seem to have as many writers here, fanart or icons/avatars will both be accepted.

And now some quick notes on how the challenges will run:

There will be one challenge theme each week (or whenever the new challenge goes up) that is couple specific, this is the main challenge. We will also be providing two sets of lyrics/lines from two songs that will act as optional themes. For the lyrics, you can choose what couple you want to write.

I'm not going to demand that you do the main challenge first before taking up the optional ones. Do it if inspiration strikes you, doing either of the optional themes first/last/only is also fine. Just pick whatever theme grabs you, sound good?

Responses or links to responses go in the comments section of this post and, while I'm not insisting that you do, it is always nice to respond to other people's works.

I'm not doing a rules section here. We should all know how to play nice by now.

Pairing: Auron x Rikku

Theme: Intimacy without sex (or sexual implications).
Lyrics:

1. We all need a little tenderness; how can
love survive in such a graceless age?
-Don Henley, 'Heart of the Matter'

2. I am scared of my hands in the dark
-Michal, 'The Light'

Have fun!

The name's Sardonyx, and I'm so very glad to be here. ^^ I love both Yuffentine and Aurikku with a very strong passion, so hopefully I'll fit in just fine with everyone. I have a question, however. :o I am an artist, allthough my art is not exactly...for the eyes of most people. 90% of it is not worksafe, so I was wondering if NC-17 rated art is accepted here. If not, then that's fine. I'll still try to post often, but I probably won't post much art in that case. I know I must sound like a creep, "Hi! Can I post Yuffentine and Aurikku smut here? =D" but it's just a simple question to me. Besides, the people over at the Yuffentine LJ community loved it, so I was hoping that you guys would give it a chance too, if it's permitted. Sorry if I've over-stepped my boundaries. X_X

Howdy, all. I'm new here, in case you didn't know. ;) I am both an Y/V and A/R shipper, though right now I'm more into Auron and Rikku. :) To prove it (alhough, I'm pretty sure you already know), I bring you fic. And, if you dare to click on my username on ff.net, you will find even more. Here's my first piece submitted here, though. Freshly posted a couple of days ago... Yeah, shutting up now, but please, take my peace offering. ;) Don't eat me, please. The priest's daughter. And it entranced and pained him all at once. He found himself watching her out of the corner of his eye rather than keeping it alertly on Yuna. Even after he chastised Tidus so many times for it.

Every time she smiled he almost found himself doing the same. But, every time, he remembered his place. He was dead. He'd had his chance with Xerra and botched it entirely. He didn't want to ruin this girl's life, especially if he wouldn't be in it for long.

After the pilgrimage, he'd be gone. He could rest. And so, he tried as best he could to devote his whole attention to that. The prospect of rest. Yet, whenever he attempted to do so, his will bent for her. He couldn't bring himself to say no for long. At first, he promised himself that he would just keep saying no until it got through her head. But lately... it wasn't quite working that way.

The Thunder Plains was the first time. He was sure he had made his will unbreakable after he refused to let her delay the pilgrimage a day at the entrance. Then, she managed to coax him into resting at the travel agency halfway through. She shrieked through the night, and it killed him, but he had done it for her.

Once the first time was over with, the weakened will stayed that way with her and he found himself paying even more attention to her. He tried to sway himself by reasoning that he could have easily been her father, as Braska was Yuna's and Jecht, Tidus's. But, that wasn't quite as effective once he met Cid and realized how much older he was.

Before he realized it, it was time for him to depart. He had kept it from her for so long but now... he was being sent. He'd expected it, surely, but that didn't make it any easier. He saw the pained look in her eyes when he walked past her into the center of the platform where they'd destroyed Braska's Final Aeon and Yu Yevon. He gave her one last look, noticing the tears pouring from her eyes as he vanished. He died inside long before he was sent.

All of this was the reason he left It for her. A simple sphere as far as anyone else was concerned, but for them, it was a promise. That whenever she followed him, he'd still be waiting. So, when she found it with his sword in Bevelle, she would understand why he had done what he did. And, from the Farplane, he still watches her use it. "Dark Knight" she calls the outfit. All three of them wear it. Yuna, her, and the third one. But, it's his sphere. And, it's his sword. And, it's their promise.
