Christmas means Christmas break
And Christmas break means no school.

Carolyn, thanks to the thoughtful prodding of the Garricks, was done with all her homework, and had played with all her new toys. She'd even finished reading three of her new books. She is quick like that.

And now, she wanted to hang out with people her own age, not that Jay and Joan weren't great people. She called the other 2/3rds of the trio.

"Hey, Henry, apparently you're busy. It's Carolyn, calling to pester you. Call me when you have time, and I'll beat you on your new video games or something. Hope you're holidays and break are good. Umm... Bye."

"Hey, Allanah. It's Carolyn. It's break, and by now we're both likely done with our homework. Want to hang? Call me."

	The Christmas tree is up - same as every year. Purple and silver decorations along with a bunch of Hallmark decorations she's been collecting with Mom and Dad over the years. The electric menorah still tops the tree though the purple lightbulbs are not lit. She calls back immediately. "Yes, please GOD! Bored. So bored." (Reply to this) (Thread)

	Carolyn was in the kitchen leaning over plate stacked with cookies and grapes. "We've got a sampler plate. I swear she's been baking cookies since December first. November was pie season, doncha know." Carolyn sampled one of the warm cookies on the plate. "The fresh ones seem to be banana-bread cookies. Weird... but good, and gooey." "Gotta eat, you know. Comes with the powers. Good thing, too, otherwise Grandma Joan's cooking would be dangerous." Carolyn nibbles a butter cookie with red and green sprinkles.

"Not that I'd heard of. And sometimes, when he's on the last bit of grounding, he can come over here. Apparently, the Garrick household is a good influence... Or at least, we keep him out of trouble for hours at a time."

Carolyn wiped the crumbs off her hands. "Why, did he do something spectacular? And do you just want to dish, or are you up for a game or a movie or something?"

"Yeah right. Henry? Not doing something boy-stupid? That's like the 3rd sign of the apocalypse."

"Well, I know he went flying again while grounded. Not sure if he got busted. That would kind be the difference between him able to show up and him scrubbing the kitchen floor with a toothbrush again."

I just feel weird saying so in a phone message left for someone thousands of miles away... How are you? How were your holidays?" Carolyn gestured towards food and seats. 	Henry leans over the couch, an arm over the back of the couch behind each of his friends. "It wasn't a big deal, Care," he explains. "Dad just accessed the JLA teleporter." He smiles.
