I wasn't planning on translating the Hanako West magazine article since I don't have a lot of patience for translating, but someone asked, so here it is.

All of the interviews are really interesting & insightful: Junsu and god, Jaejoong and learning how to sing, Yunho with a never before revealed fact (I never ever, even heard about this), Yoochun with his childhood dream, and Changmin on being an artist. Several parts were also rather ROFLMAO hahah. Enjoy.☺

Tohoshinki's popularity in Japan?

I was talking to some of my friends in Japan and they were saying Tohoshinki is still not really quite up there..
this makes me wonder how long Tohoshinki will be catching up with this going forth from Japan and Korea in the years to come. I have faith in Tohoshinki but I guess I'm a bit worried, I also hear things such as not a lot of japan residents listen to them because of their accent? Now I''m starting to wonder how BoA got so popular? Did she perfect her japanese accent or just appear on a lot of Japanese shows? How do you think our boys are doing in Japan?

Eeteuk: Oh, so this is the kind of relationship you have! (not so sure I translated that correctly XD)
Eunhyuk: Oh, so that's how it is...
Jaejoong: Yes!
Eeteuk,Eunhyuk: Oh...
Jaejoong: But. Suddenly, having totally woken up, he'll start smiling really big (in a silly way).

And I kind of got lost. Maybe because of the clicking or whatever, I don't know. Jaejoong said something about how he can't act towards his hyung deul the way he acts towards his dong seng deul. He mentions Gumi's "Amnesia" and... I don't know. Eeteuk says Jaejoong's really been put under a lot of pressure by his fellow members and (I think?) Jaejoong jokes that his condition isn't good as a result. Eeteuk and Eunhyuk mention Jaejoong's popularity (I think they mean this as a "we're lucky to have you on our show" kind of thing) and Eunhyuk says that as much as they've played, Jaejoong doesn't have much time. Eeteuk thanks Jaejoong for being on the show, and mentions that DBSK won so many daesangs. Jaejoong sincerely congratulates Suju for their new artist award(s?).

Trip to Korea + Japan?

Just wondering if anyone plan to go to Japan or Korea this summer?
I had intended to go to the Dream Concert or Super Triple Concert in Seoul but it's too late to plan since it's a month away T^T (and I really don't want to pull another HB D:)
Probably hang out in Japan for one week and another week in Korea^^

Did anyone want to go to the A-nation concert in July and possibly meet up? :]

Sorry for not mentioning the other members but my brain and eyes are severely Yunho centric and can only register Yunho's images hence that's all I remembered. ^^''''

PRE-CONcERT
There were so many DBSK fans at the pre-concert. It was amazing seeing all the red decorated shirts and the glow stick stand at the entrance hehehe. I felt so proud of us. And the moment I sat down on my seat all the old people around me were all going "[insert random Korean]... dong bang shin ki" XDDDDD Yes, even old people recognize DBSK fan when they see one hahaha. Someone told me DBSK will be coming in from the backstage area, so I followed them. But after we waited for a half an hour, I saw my friend's friend and she told me they went inside already (T__T) and is now eating. I decided to wait longer hoping the would come out but sadly no. I think I also saw the fan that got the VIP pass there. She was the only one that get to stand on the other side. Lucky girl! She got to talk to Yunnie.

When the concert just barely started, I nearly pass out when they said DBSK and Junsu suddenly walk out. 0-0 Cannot believe my eyes, I was so unprepared for this great blessing. +__+ Xiah's voice was amazing as always and so breathe taking. So my fancam looked like one from a major earthquake, I was shaking and screaming like mad. >.<'' When he walks back in, you can hear me going "Darn it!!" (which is why this shitty fancam will never be shared) During the concert, many people break their red glowsticks even though they were suppose to wait for DBSK. >.> And those darn green and blue commercial light sticks, man they out-glow everything. T___T Stupid company, why didn't they just pass out red ones. So yeah, there was technically no really sea of red this time, so sad.

DBSK MOMENT!!!
My friends and I keep on checking the booklist they gave out to see who didn't go yet cuz obviously DBSK would go last. So after the guy from G.O.D. finished, we were in a panic state screaming for DBSK. XDDDDD We also meet some Thai fans there so the moment Brian said DBSK, we were jumping over people trying to rush down the stage to get closer. ^^'''' The moment they came out, I was screaming "Yunho YUNHO YUNHO!!!!" on top of my lung. XDDDDD He was so incredibly hot. *died* I was jumping and screaming like a mad woman. People around us were staring but when they see DBSK's hotness, I think they understand. =P So basically, I was screaming Yunho and at some point Sarang hae yo and Sarrang Hamida the whole time. While my friend screamed for Jaejoong and Yunho. (JaeHo fan lol) Yunho's outfit was amazingly hot. Man I love him in long coat. *Q* OMG! It felt so surreal, seeing them live. A clear image of Yunho dancing in front of me. My whole body was shaking and me and my friend just hold onto each other and spazzzzzz.
During their introduction, I almost lost my voice from screaming for Yunho nonstop lol. He asks us something in Korean I didn't know but I scream YES!!!! anyways. Anything is a yes for Yunho hahaha. And I think he asked: "Are you guys ready?" in English. XDDD OMG!!! His English is so good. <333 Of course, we all scream HELL YEAH!! =P His smile is so so so charming, especially live, I will never forget that smile. *Q*
And when they started singing TONIGHT, I froze. *0* I love love love that song. Yes it brings out their amazing vocal abilities but more importantly it bringa back great memories of YunGi in X-man and Yunho in Tokyo Holiday. XDDDD I love life so much at that point. God loves me!!!!! They rarely sing ballad during concert and rarely rarely sing Tonight, so I feel so blessed. Basically I was enjoying the song and didn't film anything. ^^''' Not like it would come out decent enough due to my shaky body. D=
I was so sad when it was over. But OMG, Purple Line started playing!!! Three songs!!!!! XDDDDDD Life is so great!!!! As expected I went back to my spazzing/ jumping/ screaming YUNHO nonstop state. At some point someone got to touch Yunnie's long coat. 8DDD I'm so jealous of those hands. =[ And Yunnie's rap part, my mind was exploding at that point. So many fangirls screaming. Oh my YUNHO!!!!!

After they finished and went back inside, we were screaming for ENCORE!!! And MC Brian =P helped us chant that, too. Then DBSK actually came back, they came back!!!! You don't know how happy we were. XDDDDD Four songs from DBSK, I don't think they have ever sang so many in any concert. GOD, you do love me!!!! XDD I was so happy that they sang BALLOON. Cuz me and my friend have the Cassiopeia balloons that some fans gave us earlier. I had to put up with it for a while so I was so glad it comes in good use. We were proudly waving our balloons and singing along. Yunho and Jae went around and started shaking the fans' hands. LUCKY PEOPLE!!!! T____T I'm so getting pool circle next year! I wish we passed out more balloons though, cuz even in the dark, you can still see them really clearly. And I put my red light stick in it so... even better??
At some point all the artists started coming out. Yunnie and Brian have their arms around each other and were running around the stage like dorks. 8DDDD I love them. <333 Such cuties!! At some point Tiffany appeared next to Yunho. o.O Not a fan of that, but they were really cute!!! Ok, Tiffany picked up some kind of red balloon toy and handed it to Yunnie. XDDD Yunnie was kind of clueless though. Beside, he was in the middle of singing along with fans in the pool circle. (darn lucky people T_T) Yunho was kind of surprise by it and went "What the heck is this?? o.O ....Oh well, I just play with it." 8DDDD His expression was beyond ADORABLE!!!! Then he starts waving that toy around to the fans. XDDDD So cute!!!!! I love his dorky side kekeke. SOME PLEASE TELL ME THERE IS A FANCAM FOR THIS MOMENT!!!

They also sang "Let's go on a trip" considering most of the SM artists are there. Yunho was rapping and telling everyone to "JUMP JUMP JUMP" and you have no idea how high I jumped. ^^'''' I hope no one saw me doing that. '__' ''' My friend joined me half way so I guess it not so weird hahaha. Yunho was standing next to some SuJu T member, I think HeeChul but not sure... And Xiah was standing next to Hee Jun. Man, when they zoom in on just them, they looks just like brothers. 0-0 I saw them on the screen but wasn't quick enough to take pic. >.< A Close up of sleeveless Xiah was like a second in heaven. *Q* Then somehow JaeHoChun decided to go hide in their own little corner behind Brian were I can barely see them. o.O I think Jae was talking to Hee Jun (aka his idol) but I'm not sure. I'm so glad Yunho and Micky are tall cuz they stood right behind Brian for some reason. -_-

FIREWORK
I pretty much just ignore the fire works and stare at cute Yunho instead. He looks so cute all smiling and amazed by the fireworks. XDDDD *pinch his cheeks if I could* And man, the way he claps... kekeke. 8DDDDD I caught a glimpse of the OLD and NEW sign with the Dragon *0* and soon after that they wave goodbye to the fans. Yunnie waved for a very long time before going in. He looked out to the crowd, too. I freeze for a good minute thinking he might be looking at me (hahaha I wish...) Then he was gone. T__________T Me: "No wait!!! Come back Yunnie, come back!!!!" My friend has to drag me away cuz I didn't want to go. We heard a bunch of screaming at the backstage entrance and I almost rush down there hoping to see them as they leave. But knocking and climbing over people doesn't really get you far. >.< But I was satisfied with four best songs of DBSK and a clear site of my Prince Charming in front of me. Oh my heart!!!

I'm really really glad I went to this concert. The experience is truly amazing. Beside getting to see DBSK amazing performmance, I really enjoy the whole concert throughout.
1. They gave out a lot free stuffs and give you as many as you want. wee~~~~
2. The choir at the beginning rocks!!!!! The even sang in Korean (even though none of them are) and their pronunciation is so accurate (according to my friend who is Korean). Their performance was a big WOW, too. When one of the guy started doing flips, one of the old lady near me was giggling like mad lol 8DDD
3. Even the older generation performers were amazing. The lady in red has such a beautiful voice and amazing vocal. *0* And the old guy with the guitar!! XDDDD Man, he was great!!! My friend told me he's 74 and he can play the electric guitar like a rock star. *bow down to him* His songs and his voice is WOW~~~ too.
4. MinWoo performance. XDDDD Man, that guy can really get a party started. Everyone was so hype when he performs. And let's not forget his mini strip show. 8DD I knew he was gonna strip at some point anyway, but man, it was hot! *fan self* Some girl caught the shirt, too. His bod is so cut *Q* what a view!! ~~I can't wait to see Yunhnie's. =P~~
5. FTTS was amazing as always. Although I was hoping for "Like A Man", but they sang "Sea of Love" so it makes up for it. =] I really want to go to their concert in June. 8D Considering Brian was talking about it and asking everyone to come.
6. SG wannabe duet with the lady (sorry bad with names) always so lovely. <3333 They always capture my heart with their warm voices.
7. Hee Jun robot moves were really cool. His vocal is still amazing as always. And I thought I see a lot of similaries b/t Hee Jun and Jaejoong when the perform. Every rocker/ soul style. XDDD It has been so long since he performed so I was really glad to see him. I think Jae is too knowing how much he loves H.O.T.
8. The guy from G.O.D. was so cute. He asks everyone to stand up and sing along with him. Very uplifting and fun. 8DDDD What a way to get everyone all fired up for DBSK. =P I like his outfit but not his long hair though. @__@
9. The old people around me. They were so funny and nice. They cheer and scream for the younger artists also. And when their fav singers perform, I gave them my light sticks and they were waving and singing along. They have like the biggest and cutest smile on their faces when we helped the wave along to the songs. One lady even got up and started dancing to MinWoo's song LMAO. XDDD She's was too cute!!! They even offer us food and tell us to eat so we can scream louder when DBSK comes. XDDDDDD I love them.
10. Let's not forget SuJu T. XDDD They were beyond cute in their green outfits. HeeChul was adorable with his sun flower. (bless who ever caught that!) KangIn and Leeteuk were so cute standing next to each other. Leader shi has on a one side ponytail. XDDD I love that. ShinDong break dance was cute, too. <333

One the side note though, people were really upset when SNSD didn't remember the lyric and were looking at their papers the whole time. I feel bad for them, cuz a lot of people around me were like,"wth, they don't even know the lyric, how disgraceful..." I wonder why they weren't prepare though. D=

Hollywood Bowl 08: Interview during the Concert?

Hey guys! I'm sort of new here, but I've been stalking this community for a while. XD Anyway, I just got back from the concert (now in WA) and I'm still so pumped from all the energy and simply put, our gorgeous, talented boys! I still can't believe I went. They were amazing! *_* A part of me still thinks I never saw them and that I just watched something on Youtube. XD

The thing is, though, I had something weird happen during a part of the concert (we were sitting in G2). During Moon Hee Jun's second song, two Korean men came up to me and my friend with a microphone and a tv camera, asking," Is it okay if we interview you?" They both spoke perfect English (and the guy with the microphone was hot +_+ ).

Of course we said yes, but I was really confused as to what was going on. They asked for our names and where we were from, and then asked us who our favorite band or person was. We said," Dong Bang Shin Ki, dangyeonhaji!" and the microphone guy laughed awkwardly at that. XD He asked us to sing one of their songs and I started singing part of 'O', and then he asked us to cheer, and we did. He thanked us, and then they both left.

I'm dead tired from HB, but I figured I should write this out before I go to bed and forget anything, or anything. :D

Short version: I was lucky enough to have a backstage pass for part of the night, and after a lot of work and some really amazing luck, I managed to talk to Yunho and Junsu for a little bit! (And Changmin for like a split second.)

I've no idea where to start with this, haha. I could give you about 30 minutes of really kind of boring backstory that led up to the conversations, but I figure you'd want me to cut to the chase, yes?

Condensed: it was impossible to really get to see DBSG, even if you had a backstage pass. Their manager was really snippy, and everyone else back there were either rude or unhelpful. ^^;; But that aside, I managed to catch all three of them right outside their dressing room, and then only because I spoke in Japanese (even though I'm full blood Korean). In fact, Yunho gave me a brief I'm-not-gonna-stop-for-you nod when he first walked by and I called to him in Korean. So on his way back, I tried Japanese - and it worked.

He stopped basically while in the doorway. The door was half closed on him, and some dude (coordi? stylist? no idea?) was kinda stuck behind him. He stayed wedged there for the entire conversation, haha. Script style for easy reading (and please keep in mind it's a translation, so it might sound kinda stilted):

Me: Yunho-san! Is it okay if I talk to you really quick?

YH: Oh. Uh, yes?

Me: Hi, my name is Jessica. I really love Tohoshinki and I just wanted to say hello and to be able to thank you...

YH: Thank you very much. How are you here?

Me: You mean how did I get in here? [Details of connection omitted, just in case^^ - but basically w/the Korea Times.]

YH: Oh, really?

Me: I'm Korean, actually... [And then I told him I was Korean again, in Korean, kind of as an opening/invitation to continue in Korean, but he kind of glossed over that so I switched back to Japanese, lmao.] I really wanted to go inside and be able to talk to everyone, and see their faces, but they're telling me I can't go in. Is it really impossible? I just want to see them...

YH: Eeeeveryone... *looks into half-open door* They might not all be here... And they're all getting ready, so...

Me: I understand. Then, if it's possible, could I please speak with Jaejoong-san? I really really like him, and...

YH: Jaeeeeejoooooong iiiiis... *looks in again, consideringly*

[At this point the guy who was standing behind Yunho was stage-whispering in Korean, "Getting ready, getting ready!", trying to get him to tell me that. Did they BOTH miss when I said I was Korean?! D:]

YH: Jaejoong is ... getting ready, but... Well, first, I'll go tell him, but I don't know. Maybe later, when he leaves the room or we come out, you'll be able to talk to him like you're talking to me now.

Me: Okay, thank you very much! By the way, your Japanese really is very good!

YH: No, it's not very good at all. [Standard leader-ssi answer, lmao.]

Me: It's a lot better than mine, you guys are really amazing...

And he kind of nodded and said thank-you and slipped into the room before I could say anything else. He was really really sweet. And very tall in person - I'm 5'6'' and was wearing 3-inch heels, and he was still taller than I was.

Next, I saw Junsu being led around so I caught him on his way back too. This time I was lucky 'cause he was alone... and fascinated, lol, at least for a second.

Me: Ah, Junsu-san! Just a sec!

JS: ...Yes?

Me: Hi, I really like Tohoshinki. And I just wanted to say hello and speak a little bit with you...

JS: Are you Japanese?

Me: No, I'm Korean.

JS: Then why are you speaking in Japanese???

Me: Oh, because, well, when I speak in Korean, none of you respond, so... um ... I tried Japanese.

JS: But then if you all of a sudden start speaking in Japanese, it's... I was really shocked...

Me: Oh...sorry...?

JS: Wait wait so wait, you know English too, then?

Me: ...Yes?

JS: So then you know English AND Japanese AND Korean? All three?

Me: ...Yes?

JS: Wait, so how do you know Japanese??

Me: Oh, I'm studying it in school.

JS: You're just studying it in school and you can speak that well? Jeez... *scratches head cutely*

Me: No, no, you guys are so much better than I am! Really!

JS: No, I mean, we can do it now but we couldn't do it before, at all, in the beginning.

Me: Same for me, though..?

JS: Hmm, but...

And he sorta bowed and I sorta bowed back and he just kind of wandered back into the dressing room, lol. He'd been moving around a lot compared to Yunho, and to be honest I think he just lost interest in the conversation/subject and decided to move on, LMAO. He was shorter, and his face was a little less round than I'd thought. And he couldn't keep still, lol.

Next I saw Changmin but he looked like he was in a bit of a hurry, but I called out anyway:

Me: Changmin-kun, can I speak with you really quick?

CM: Right now's a little... [In Japanese, the trailing off means it's not a good time to talk or whatever.] Sorry...

Me: No, no, thank you!

And he went in. Really quick, right? He's really tall and really thin, too. But very good-looking. In fact, all of them are good-looking. But, of course, we know that already. ^^

I was planning on waiting for them to come back out (their perf turned out to be like 10 minutes after I saw them, which is why Min had been in a hurry, I'm thinking), but then a scary crew/staff/whatever man basically told me to get lost or else. D: So I didn't get to speak to anyone else (Jaechun! I love Jae and Chun! T_T). But nonetheless, it was an amazing experience, even though to be honest a lot of it seems surreal because of how much I was freaking out inside, all while trying to converse in Japanese, lol. It was all in a blur.

But yes! Three years of Japanese paid off in like 10 minutes of conversation with the dongbang boys, lmao!

Anyhow, if you read it all I'm really impressed. I'm rambly to begin with and the fact that it's 3am is not helping. ^^ Feel free to ask any questions, I'll try to scrape my brain for details. :D And if I remember anything else, I'll include that too, or something. XD

Oh, and I didn't ask for pictures or autographs or anything, as you can tell. I just really wanted to talk to them and see them, and plus the coordis were ready to take away my pass and throw me out if I pulled out a camera. So I don't technically have any proof of this except for the backstage pass which I ended up keeping. If you want a pic of it as proof, let me know? lol. The ever-awesome evaleva, jjoongie, and bebulo can vouch for me, too. (I <3 you guys!) Hope you believe me though.

Q: HOW DID YOU GET A BACKSTAGE PASS PLS TEACH ME
A: Sorry, guys. I don't know if I can explain really for privacy reasons, but basically I only got the pass because someone in my family is very close with some of the higher-ups at Korea Times, which sponsored HB. It wasn't my pass; they don't give them out; and it's gotten worse with security every year. And even then, with the pass, it was impossible to actually get inside to see them; I was lucky that they happened to walk by on their way back to their room and I managed to happen to stop them.

Q: Did you speak in Korean w/Junsu after he realized you're Korean?
A: Nope! The entire conversation was in Japanese. He didn't say a word to me in Korean, lol.

Q: Yunho's more businesslike, huh? ~~Not as friendly?~~
A: Yeah, but I want to emphasize that he was as nice as can be. He had that kind of LEADER!YUNHO thing going on so he was using very polite Japanese. He was curious as to how I'd gotten in, not like wtfcrazygetout! about it.

Q: Did they smile?! Do anything cute???
A: Ho did that half-smile he does when he's dealing with fans or press unexpectedly, lol. And when I thanked him and he responded he did that sort of deep nod he does, as if he's trying to do a full-body bow just from the neck up. Adorable! It was really funny because I'd seen those things on TV and it was exactly the same. Su was a lot more active. He was kinda shifting his weight or taking a step one way and coming back. He did a kind of wtf/helpless small smile when he was like "but if you start suddenly speaking in Japanese..." And Min looked hurried. ^^ But he made that cute face he does in interviews whenever he says "chottooo..." But yeah! It was a very high-stress situation for them, so I'm not surprised they weren't being giggly or whatever.

Q: Why did they only answer when you spoke in Japanese? :/
A: Well, here's what I think. Yeah, they've been in Japan for a long time now, but with HB and everything, they were very much in Korean!mode. It was a Korean concert with Korean staff and a largely Korean audience. On top of that, it was a Korean concert in Los Angeles. So I'm sure they were expecting Korean and English, but the Japanese just caught them so off-guard that they paused. Plus, not to be mean or anything, really, but you gotta acknowledge that the Japanese fans have a slightly better reputation in terms of keeping a distance, etc. Although I don't know how much that played into it, really. It's all speculation. ^^

I think that's it for now! Hope it doesn't seem to egotistical to make a FAQ for my own post, -_-;;, but just wanna make it easier for people to experience w/me! ♥ If I update again, I'll add another cut. And thank you for all your sweet comments!

Cassiopeia was recorded into the world records book of 2008 right? my cousin has a copy of it but i could find it anywhere! i looked at the section for biggest fan clubs/fan mail received in one year etc etc. but i couldn't find cassiopeia! so does anyone know what page it's on and stuff?
