Just wanted to share a Day Break fanvideo I made.

Pairing: Chad/Andrea

Anyone know why they removed "Day Break" from the ABC website? I thought they were going to air the rest of the episodes online sometime in the new year.

According to this story, there are music copyright issues that will delay the next episode until sometime in January.

But only to the web, according to this story ABC will make new episodes available at the same time as they would have aired. So a new one each Wednesday - the catch is: only to Americans, so Canadians (and anyone else) are out of luck.

I'm usually pretty good at following complex temporal plot-lines (I was even able to sort out most of what happened in the film Primer).

I have to admit though that the most recent episode of Daybreak ("What If He Can Change the Day") has me pretty confused...

So far in the series, I've had a pretty good idea of what was going on. I was even willing to suspend my disbelief over the fact that his injuries stay with him even when the day restarts (especially since it prevents him, and the writers, from falling into the trap of thinking that it doesn't matter what happens to him).

This latest episode though, left me very puzzled.

First off, when the day started over, the screen displayed the text "Day 2", which makes no sense, since I'm pretty sure that it was actually the 7th repeat of the day (and, even if my count is off, it definitely wasn't day 2). The same thing happened on the next repeat, which displayed "Day 3", even though it couldn't have been.

Also, he prevented Rita's death during the previous 2 repeats (accompanying her to the hospital the first time), which led to her letting Chad drive her home (and accompany her in the second time). During both repeats of the day from this episode, Brett was off doing completely different things, but Rita still wasn't killed and Chad still accompanied her home. I will admit that I may be overlooking something on this one, because I can't remember for sure exactly what he did that prevented her death.

I'm also confused by what happens with Brett's partner and her boyfriend. Until Brett got involved (during this episode), things should've happened exactly the same way during each repeat of the day, so what changed that caused him to end up dead/dying at the end of the previous episode?

Okay, and finally, while I can accept that other people besides Brett might be starting to remember hints of the earlier repeated days, it seems strange to me that the people who first demonstrate this are his partner and her boyfriend, after he only really interacted with them during one repetition. But, in spite of that, the part that I really don't understand is how the photo was still on the back seat of his cart? Even if memories are starting to bleed though, that wouldn't explain something physical like a photograph.

There were actually several other things that I thought of during the episode, but I can't recall them at the moment... and I also don't think I explained it very well, sorry.

A: No. Episodes can start or end in the morning, noon, or night.

A: Yes. For Hopper, the clock will always read 6:17 AM when he opens his eyes. However, that doesn't mean that we have to see it every time.
