Dear Fans,

I wanted to write this letter to you because I feel that you deserve an explanation. I have been away for quite some time now and I have never given any reason as to why. There have been many stories and speculations as to where and why I was gone but they were never really confirmed.

In 2003 my relationship with my then boyfriend of 7 years was starting to dissolve. The time away from each other was very damaging and we began to grow apart. This was very hard for me being that he was the most important person in my life for the past 8 ½ to 9 years. You see, he was my best friend before we started dating. I never really had a close connection with my own family (which we will get into at another time) and he became that to me. After being on the road for as long as I was on a regular basis we decided that it was best for the both of us to go our separate ways so that we can always be friends and not wind up hating each other. It worked out exactly like that and I thank God it did.

I have to admit I was really scared. I didn't know if I would be able to meet someone else that would accept my career choices, or someone that would want to be with me because of me and not who I was. I was getting older. I was scared… did I make the wrong career choice? Was my youth passing by me? Was I giving up the one birth right every woman has? That is, the joy of being a MOM. This thought scared me to death. I would walk through the airport and notice families, and wonder will I ever have one? I would walk through the mall and see moms and there children and wonder….will I ever be able to have that with the choices I have made in my life?

Then one day my girlfriend from high school was over my house and asked me to go out with her to a local bar/restaurant to have a drink. It was late and I really didn't want to go, but I did. This is where I met Matt. It was by accident through a mutual friend. I was introduced, and he had no idea who I was.

Well, to make a long story short we had a lot in common and we got along great. We soon started to talk about getting married and of course as usual the issue of children came up. I was nervous that because of my age and all of the abuse I have put my body through I wasn't going to be able to get pregnant easily. So we decided that we would start a family before we got married. I figured 1 year to plan a wedding, then who knew how long to get pregnant, then 9 months to have the baby. MY CLOCK WAS TICKING!!!!!!!!!!! So we started to try to have our family. If it happened early, we would have a small wedding. If it didn't happen right away, we would have a big wedding. Well, as you all know, it happened quickly.

In 2005, I was released from WWE and this made me very sad. I had to go away for a while to get my head together. I had to separate myself from wrestling to get my thoughts and my future family in order. With this came a lot of weight gain. You see, I have a problem. When I am upset, nervous or depressed, I eat. Also, my doctor said that because of all the years of strict dieting, my body didn't know how to handle the food I was eating, so it stored all of it.

In June of 2005, Matt and I got married. I had a great wedding in Vegas. Honestly, I wouldn't have done it any differently. It wasn't one of those drive through ceremonies that you read about; it was a nice ceremony with a white dress and family. My sister-in-law was my Maid of Honor and my brother-in-law was Matt's best man. It was a perfect day.

In December of 2005, I had my son Matthew. That day was unbelievable. It changed my life. I now had everything I have ever wished for. I had a great career. I had a great husband. And now I had a great son.

I now had a new challenge. I had a ton of weight to lose, I didn't feel like myself and I was depressed. Also, I didn't have anywhere to work, especially with the weight gain. I knew I always had my real estate to fall back on so I went back to school to get my license and started to sell real estate, which has always been my second love next to wrestling.

I am doing very well with my new career, but I have to admit, I miss the hell out of wrestling. The truth is I want to come back. And I need your help! I need your support! I am asking for it and that is why I feel I need to explain myself to you, the fans, because without you I can't come back.

My one obstacle is my weight gain. I am working real hard to lose it. I started to do appearances again and I have started to take Indy bookings again. I felt bad for leaving, but I have come to a place in my heart where I think any mother reading this would relate to the desire I had of wanting to start a family and be a Mom.

Thanks for reading this. It means a lot to me, and I do hope that with your support I can have my comeback.

Easy E sent this one in: I was driving on a major road today, and I saw a giant billboard with Dawn Marie's face on it. She's doing real estate now, I think it was a Century 21 sign (I'm not sure, it's a fast road so I didn't get much time to inspect it). I'm not sure, but she might have gotten married to her baby's daddy, because while I was glancing at the sign it said "Dawn Marie Baretta" (again, I believe, but the last name did start with a B). Considering she did move back to Woodbridge, NJ, I was 100% sure it was her. I think I might have to start looking for a place now so I can meet her in person. She still looks pretty good going by the billboard, good for her. After all this crazy BS this week, I thought a bit of nice news would be good to report.

Some of you may remember in late 2004 Dawn Marie was fired by WWE and you may also remember she was pregnant at the time. A serious "no no" for an employer to do. Dawn is still currently suing WWE and has recently got two new attorneys for the case.

Her argument is that she was fired even though she was told she wouldn't be, and that she could have easily worked for WWE in some other capacity until her return but unfortunately Dawn was caught up with the tirade of releases at the time.

Wade Keller reports that there is a slim chance of her returning although other superstars have returned from even worse things, for example Sable.

TNA and Dawn have been in contact in the past and with Dixie Carter becoming a mom twice recently she probably holds more sympathy for the former ECW Vixen.

Dawn to join TNA?

Dawn Marie has expressed interest in joining TNA. The light schedule has really helped matters. However, she doesn't want to join TNA until she is in better shape. She gained a significant amount of weight from her pregnancy, more so than most women typically gain from pregnancy. She was said to look enormous when she made a special appearance at the final Hardcore Homecoming show in November - she was seven and a half months pregnant at the time. Dawn Marie is still feeling the after effects four months after she gave birth. She is said to now be a mere 16 pounds away from where she wants to physically be, so she's getting closer with each passing month.

"I would love to go back to work there (TNA). Right now I'm trying to get rid of the baby weight. Had I been still employed (by WWE), it would be easier for me to come back to TV right away because it's explained in the storyline - the baby weight. I can't go right back to a brand new company with the extra weight on right now. So basically I have to wait until the weight's off," Dawn Marie said in an interview with the Pro Wrestling Torch that was conducted in late February.

Dawn Marie had to cancel an indy booking back in January that would have had her wrestle in a tag team match with Jackie Gayda in late April. The reason Dawn Marie cancelled the booking was because she believed that four months would not be enough time for her to get back into shape for the match due to the significant amount of weight she gained from her pregnancy.

Dawn Marie has talked with Dixie Carter in the past. She considers her to be very approachable and personable. They've talked about their children, among some other topics. Dawn Marie considers TNA to be a great company. She regularly watches Impact, especially considering that her good friend Jackie Gayda is on the show. Also, Dawn Marie watches the show because she really would like to be a part of it in the near future.

She was asked about her backstage run-in with former ECW co-worker Francine Fournier at the ECW One Night Stand pay-per-view last June. Dawn Marie is quickly shedding the pounds and has managed to lose 30 pounds since she gave birth three weeks ago. Dawn Marie is planning on making a comeback to pro wrestling as soon she gets rid of all the excess weight she gained during her pregnancy.

Also, Dawn Marie made an appearance on WWE "Byte This" about three weeks before she was terminated. She confirmed the rumors that she was pregnant on that show. On the same show, Dawn Marie said that WWE welcomed her pregnancy and that they had no problem with it as they are a very family orientated company.

Former WWE performer Dawn Marie Psaltis, 35, has filed a complaint against World Wrestling Entertainment with the EEOC (Equal Employment Opportunity Commission), claiming wrongful termination. Dawn Marie claims she was released from her contract because she became pregnant. All Dawn Marie wants is to be paid for the remainder of her WWE contract, which had less than one year remaining on it at the time she was released by World Wrestling Entertainment in July of 2005. The reason given for her release from WWE management was, "Creative had no ideas for her." Dawn Marie had been in good standing with the company with a track record of always being on time and fulfilling whatever duties they asked her to do.

Dawn Marie gave birth to her first child, a boy, which she named Matthew, on December 20, 2005. Since being terminated from WWE, Dawn Marie has made two public appearances for wrestling-related events. She made an appearance at the Retroslam Convention in New Jersey in October. She also made an appearance at Hardcore Homecoming, holding the key for the main-event steel cage match. Dawn Marie also accepted a booking in which she would actually wrestle in a match. She and Jackie Gayda were supposed to be teaming up to take on Traci Brooks and Lollipop in tag action, for an indy event on April 26th. However, Dawn Marie later changed her mind and had to back out of the match. Dawn believed four months would not be enough time to get back into shape for the match due to the incredible amount of weight she gained from her pregnancy. Dawn Marie vowed that she will work for the promotion sometime down the road. Dawn Marie also has an open invitation from TNA president Dixie Carter to join TNA should she ever choose to.

Dawn Marie was booked to wrestle on an independent show next April, but she recently called the promoter to tell him she had to pull out of the match. According to wfpromotions.com, the Jackie Gayda & Dawn Marie vs. Traci Brooks & Lollipop women's tag match that was originally advertised is no longer taking place. Seeing how Dawn Marie has been removed from the card, the match is now a singles match between Jackie Gayda and Traci Brooks with former TNA dancer Lollipop as the special guest referee.

Dawn's baby is due sometime in late-December/early-January and when she accepted the booking, she thought she would have enough time to get back into shape and be ready to wrestle. Dawn's gained a significant amount of weight from her pregnancy and right now she doesn't think she'll be able to get back to her old shape by the time the match was to take place, which is in late-April. The promoter understood and Dawn said that she will eventually work some shows in the future for Ward Family Promotions.

Dawn Marie will be wrestling in a ring again in 2006. She will be teaming up with Jackie Gayda to take on Traci Brooks and former TNA dancer Lolipop at an indy wrestling show in Virginia. The match will take place on April 26, 2005. Dawn Marie's baby is due on around January 7, 2005 so she'll be competing in a ring in less than four months after having a child.

Here are other matches set to take place on this card filled with several big name wrestlers such as Lex Luger, Scott Steiner, Maven, Rhino, The New Age Outlaws and more.

Ward Family Productions brings Pro-Wrestling Supershow & Concert to the Shenadoah Harley Davidson center in Staunton, VA on April 26, 2006.
