This is the re-watch discussion post for: 'KINDA' In which the Doctor befriends a Liver bird, Tegan's not feeling quite herself and Nyssa has a very long nap. I absolutely bloomin' love this one: It's a genuinely creepy and imaginative adventure in stark contrast towards JNT's trend towards 'hard' sci-fi, and one of the best DW stories ever IMO. Does anyone have a copy of In Their Own Words lying around? Fifth Doctor Plushie [09 Jun 2009|09:34pm] eyesdelight I got it in my head one day that I should make a plushie of the Fifth Doctor, so I did. It seemed a lot simpler in my head. :) In actually, since this is the first plushie I've ever made, it took a lot of making mistakes and then correcting them. Still, I think he turned out fairly well for a first try. [06 Apr 2009|06:04am] david_macgowan There's a big article in this month's DWM about Castrovalva, and this photo and caption is too good not to share: ( my web! ) speaking of the story... the writer mentions the Tardis' Index File, noting that it has never been seen previously in the series. I'm too lazy to check and my DVd's at home, but didn't it transpire that the Index File was a block transfer illusion-type thing, invented by the Master? The Ten Doctors comic strip (and companions galore!) [23 Feb 2009|05:52pm] acciochocolate [ mood | indescribable ] Hey, folks, if you aren't reading the webcomic The Ten Doctors yet, head over here and check it out: http://comics.shipsinker.com/2007/03/11/doctor-who-comic-the-ten-doctors-page-1/ Mind you, it's up to 190 pages already, but it shouldn't take you long to catch up. :) And don't skip the comments, the creator often replies and gives good info. All Ten Doctors are involved, many companions, several enemies and groups of enemies. :) The plotting is great, and the artwork, whilst in pencil, is still well rendered. You will know by looking who is who. (Pardon the pun, I really didn't mean it!) If you love multiple Doctor stories, then trust me, you will love this comic strip. Key 2 Time [09 Jan 2009|10:07am] david_macgowan I was reading the new DWM previews of the Big Finish series 'The Key 2 Time' and wondering if it would work as a good jumping-on point as a relative newbie to BF. (i was given copies of some of the very early BFs but am starting to feel jealous of all the regular BF fans who have new 5 and 6 stories every month or so!) Can anyone recommend it? Is it full of BF continuity? Would i be better off starting early and working my way up?
