The Bicycle Thief
FYI. From a Craigslist post:

"While unlocking my bike in Davis Square around 7:30pm, I watched a man beat a U-lock with a stone brick until he managed to break the lock and free a RALEIGH hybrid bicycle. He then tried to walk off with bike to the park in the square without drawing attention to himself. Myself and others called the police, he was arrested, and the bike was returned to the scene. If you own a Raleigh hybrid style bicycle and you believe it was stolen, please contact the Somerville police. They may have your bike!

"Please keep an eye out for this theif. He 5'11", average build, tan complexion, short brown hair, wearing Celtics hat, black pants, black coat, winter snow boots. He was very drunk and belligerent. One person at the scene said he is a homeless man that is often in Davis Square and has stolen bikes in the past."

Poll # 3: Best Pizza located in or around Davis Square
I'm going to go ahead and post this now. I'm going to be away from the computer from 10am till probably 1 or 2pm, so if I missed something we talked about, sorry.

Honorable mention has to go to the beloved Pinky's. But alas, they are more than 1 mile from the square.

Thanks to a suggestion from [info]lonelyholiday, if for some reason you didn't vote by want to see the results, you can click here.

Guerilla Ad on Redline T subway car

What initially caught my eye on this 'ad' were the numerous typos but I think the concept was cool. The text of the poster encourages riders to initiate conversation with fellow passengers and attempt to connect with other humans rather than sit idly by and stare at ads for the duration of the ride. Personally it's hard for me to take lessons in morality from people who can't distinguish between your and you're but I give them an A for effort. Did anyone else see this, or know anything about the origin?

Speaking of bikes
I'd like to take a ride after work, what are some nice routes (other then the Minuteman Bike Trail) to just ride around Somerville and neighboring towns? Maybe I’ll just ride and try to get lost and find my way home, that is always fun.

My husband and I are looking to buy two hybrid bikes. We have done some research online and think thats the best fit for us. Suggestions on bike stores nearby? We dont mind driving further if the pricing is better or the stores are bigger as well.
