Somerville Journal coverage of Thursday's bike-path and street robberies
The Somerville Journal has published an article about last Thursday's street robberies and about the long LJ discussion that followed. The article says the evening's two robberies were unrelated to each other.

Also, Scott posted an update here after talking to Alderman Jack Connolly.

Edit, 8/21: The printed Somerville News also has quite a long article about this, on pages 3 and 11.

For posting this follow-up and also liaising with Universal Hub.

I was wondering what happened and was especially happy to hear that both Alderpeople Gewirtz and Connolly had reached out to Scott.

Thanks for the update

can we somehow get enough discussion about the article about the lj post that they do an article on the post about the article about the post?

it's amusing the hell out of me how many reporters of late seem to want to cover *us*.

We are apparently *stars*.

You're quoted somewhere in the article, or you were another victim of the same thugs?

No, just connected to Redbones, where some of the situation unfolded. Also, the Community Police Officer for Davis Square was doing the detail at my workplace that night, so his radio was turned up and we were all listening to the events as they unfolded.

okay, so maybe not in the middle.
