I have to declare my major this year, and I'm leaning toward English. However, I noticed for Fall 2006 that almost all of the classes are in the afternoon. Is this usual for English? The problem I have now is that they almost all conflict with my lab schedule since I'm also pre-med. Also, I don't really like afternoon classes that much anyway.

Hmm...actually, no. That's not typical. This will be the first year that I'll have English classes in the afternoon.

Are you sure there are no morning ones available??

no no no. the english major spreads its classes out throughout the day like the rest of them--but this semester (i'll agree) is trending toward the afternoon. i don't think you'll have any trouble fitting english requirements and labs side by side.. but it may limit the seminars you can take in your last few years. those usually knock out the afternoon block.
