so me and my friend were in barnes and noble a few years ago, and we saw a guy that she thought was...cute? and so we picked up the nearest book, wrote a letter inside to him and walked by and handed it to him. later on we went back to where he was, but he was gone. he left the book and i picked it up, it was "me talk pretty one day"...so i read it, ended up buying it. and i loved it so much. then i moved onto naked and dress my family. he's so funny, i love his family.

Hello! Sorry to bother you- can you tell me how I post on here? I love David Sedaris! I'm just trying to post on this "community" but I only know how to post on my journal. As you can tell I'm a bit lost in the ways of livejournal land. Thanks in advance-

so you make the entry you'd like to post, like you would any other entry, and at the bottom, next to the update button it says "post to" and you'll see a list of your communities and such.

no problem, i didn't know either.

I loved "Naked" as well as "Me Talk Pretty One Day" I think that David Sedaris's account of his bus trip, his account of the hitchhiking with the quadriplegic and his father's ridiculous lies about shooting someone's eye out are some of the funniest writing I've ever seen. A friend recommended Sarah Vowell as another Sedaris, but I am afraid I don't think she is even a tenth as good.. I do love Florence King...any opinions on her?
