Is this place dead?
Why yes, it is.

Hi I'm Kristen.
I joined a few days ago.
& I would love it if there was someone here younger than me... but there probably isn't.

AHHHHH. I JUst gave up two tickets (at face value, of course) to that show. I can't go because of a damn work thing. I hate work! I'm a UCLA alum! I went to his show there last year! He signs books! Once the show is over mosey over quickly to where the bar will be set up. the line was so long last year. We had to line up outside on the balcony too. but it moved quickly. Also be prepared to see "stars!" I saw the dude from entourage and elaine from seinfeld.

I love royce hall and student tickets.

i miss ucla :( and la. :(

oh and sedaris is super nice and friendly.

i know! i went last year and he drew abraham lincoln in my book! I actually work for the student part of UCLA Live and one of my coworkers was handling the comp tickets to the Bill Bailey shows. She told me that Eddie Izzard got a ticket for sunday's show, but of course its already sold out.

First of all: He drew Abe Lincoln in my book too!!!! He also wrote "to my honest friend"

And second of all, you mentioned izzard. I love him. I wish i was still near campus. I'd like lurk around Macgowan hall just to catch a glimpse of izzard. I probably wouldn't but I'd like to believe that I would.

Like Sedaris, i think izzard genuinely seems to be grateful for his fans. I met him at a signing once. Those two are like the only "celebs" I would make an effort to recognize.
I saw Bbailey. he's...um interesting. But no one beats Izzard when it comes to british stand-ups no matter what izzard himself says!
