i'm really struck by how much this song seems to be a love song to...well, to us. to the fans. i thought that during the performance and i think it even more now, after reading the lyrics.

I agree, I thought the same thing during the performance when I heard the "you're my inspiration" line, and I'm even more sure of it now that I've read the whole lyrics. I may be wrong, but it really sounds like his way of saying 'thank you' to the fans who have supported him and brought him this far.

might just be my wishful thinking though...;)

Yeah, I kinda thought this and still do. I don't wanna get yelled at or anything, but, I think DC believes that he's doing the thanks he owes to us by putting out a record and stuff. I don't think he'll be writing songs to thank his fans. I just don't think he's that into us. I know he's GRATEFUL, but, I think that's where it stops. His heart is elsewhere, at least the way I see it. Just my opinion and it could be changed easily by proof, so don't bash me and s*it! lol

This is the first song of the album, it's like an intro. IMO this song is to tell us Thank You for making this album possible and now enjoy what I have to offer and see who I am.
This song is a declaration to us and all of those who support him, and will listen to his music.
The rest of the album will probably about everything else in his life. But yes, this one I'll take as an I Love You (us)

Am I the only one who doesn't like this much more than LO? It sounds very Kelly Clarkson to me, and while I love Kelly Clarkson, I think she and David Cook are two very different artists.

I thought the live sounded amazing and bb looked very yummy, but meh to the actual song. I feel like I would've liked it when I was fifteen or sixteen, but idk if it appeals to me now that I'm in my second year of college.

this is a brilliant song.. i expected this sound from him.. was a tad disappointed with LO didnt sound like cookie.. im soo pumped for that album y isnt it 18th nov yet?
