The Philippines has been indubitably Cookified
Have you guys heard of Google Trends? What Google Trends does is give you statistics of what people worldwide are searching for on Google. Via Google Trends you can compare the world’s interest in your favorite topics. Enter up to five topics and see how often they’ve been searched on Google over time. Google Trends also shows how frequently your topics have appeared in Google News stories, and in which geographic regions people have searched for them most.

So, I just had to see which country/city searches for David Cook the most.

And no surprises here... It's the Philippines. And by a huge margin at that.




And then, I decided to see which country loves "Time Of My Life" the most... Hahahahaha. Do we even need proof that the Philippines has been indubitably cookified?




I also tried comparing David Cook and David Archuleta, to see which fanbase is crazier. David Cook's fans are googling him like crazy.

Although the US is, without a doubt, the biggest fans of American Idol, the Philippines loves Season 7 the most. Surprisingly, a lot of Word Nerds in the Philippines and in Kansas City, Missouri have been searching the web for that blond former Idol finalist, as well. Imagine that.

I think this only proves that Filipinos are bored enough to use Google a bajillion times a day. Your views?

I'm a filipino, & only googled David Cook like, 3 times. *hides*
Well, maybe there are a lot of other people more crazy for him :O

There's such a DC mania here, plus the buzz that he's coming to the Philippines next year jsut adds to that.
And if you guys only know how many times they play Always Be My Baby on the radio, cafes, etc. LOL

Very interesting.

I love that Philippines, Singapore, Indonesia and Malaysia grab the top 4 spots altogether since us fans in South East Asia are CRAZY for AI. Man we dont even watch our local lousy Idol shows! AI is the best!!

SEA dominates Archie's searches too! XD

I SECOND THAT. I watched the first few episodes, then stopped. After watching the great singers from AI, I couldn't help but compare the Pinoy Idol singers to AI.

Woot, I was stoked to see the top searches are from SEA! Malaysian statistic here!

Though, I reckon we google him more because unlike in the States, we don't have Idol Extra and such. We only have the main show and results, and E!...

I mean, to draw comparisons, how many of you google your own Idols or Akademi Fantasia's or whatever?

So yes, but Phili is definitely showing the love! No wonder TPTB responded. Damn it, I'm flying there January if he doesn't come down here. I'm just waiting for details before booking my ticket!

Akademi Fantasia? Oh my that show sucks to the end of the earth. It's infinite times lousier and no where near the awesomeness of AI. I dont even know who won them. All I know is that the guys are always at the top.

I see a lot of Singapore on that list as well. I guess I have contributed to it, considering I google him about 3-4 times a day. 0_0 See this is why DC should come to Singapore as well!

Have you guys seen the Cookie billboard along Edsa? It's near Robinson's Pioneer (Boni Station of the MRT)? I saw it yesterday morning. It was a very nice sight to see. In all my excitement, I forgot to take a photo of it. Hahaha But when I passed by the place on my way home last night, it was replaced by Nancy Jane. WTF. I WANT COOKIE BACK ON THAT BILLBOARD!

btw, Nancy Jane is formerly known as Nancy Castliogne. Apparently, she sings. *rolls eyes*
