The Four Horsemen

Here's a picture of me,Luke Menard, Michael Johns, and your American Idol winner David Cook!!!! The four of us met up in Hollywood week. I actually met Luke a few months before Hollywood week. I was performing in a show with his wife and she introduced me to him and mentioned that he was going to Omaha to audition. I told him I just made the 1st round and was going back at the end of the week for my next round of auditions so we had no idea that we would get as far as we did! Later Laura, (Luke's wife) called and said he made it to Hollywood!!! I was so happy that I would know someone (kind of) out there. What a coincidence? I showed up in Hollywood week and checked into my hotel room. My roommate had already checked in and his stuff was already moved in. A few moments later the "Song-stealing-greasy-headed-douchebag" as he so lovingly became known to the four of us, (thanks to our wonderful friends at votefortheworst.com) lol!!!!! We instantly became really good friends that whole week. Dave flocked to us during that 1st day...we began talking and hanging and going out to eat. We realized we had to all make the top 50 or it just wasn't going to be good. Dave, Michael, and myself had all made it through the first cut straight thru to Thurs but Luke had to come back that Wednesday for one last chance to prove himself to the judges. So the 3 of us sat around that entire Wednesday...there was a party for those of us who had made it thru to Thurs but we were just watching as contestants came out one by one. They were made to walk thru the party in front of cameras while we were all celebrating our victory from yesterday. It was really quite awkward. We kept asking eachother "Have you seen Luke?" "Did he make it?!" Finally, Luke came out with a smile on his face and we all cheered! : ) Safe for another day....ha ha Well, we all met back up in Hollywood when they cut us from 50 to 24 and the pressure was much more intense. This was the big cut. We all four sat together and watched as each person went up the elevator and watched as each guy came down and we counted the spots left for each of us. What were the odds that all four of us would make it into the final 24?! And sure enough, after much tears and yelling "The Four Horsmen" persevered!!! Ryan asked me if he could join the group.....I said "no" ha ha ha ha ha ha!!!! It was really good to see them all again at the finale and the after party. Things have certainly changed for Michael and Dave. They are superstars now!!!!!!! But I enjoyed the brief time we had together and I couldn't imagine going thru that whole experience without any of them. Such talent....and I was so proud to say that I was apart of it. : )

That was sweet, of course. But the thick paragraph and the multiple exclamation points hurt me. -.- (That coming from a word nerd!)

Great picture, too.

That's really cool! Yay, Jason Yeager, for more insight about the beginnings of the Four Horsemen! And...new pictures of Cookie (and the gang) are always nice to see. ;)

Thanks for posting!

Great behind-the-scenes background. Thanks so much for that! Clearly David hasn't forgotten any of you since he flashed the four fingers to Michael right after winning. He's a class guy through and through. And those Vote for the Worst folks? Classic bullies: pathetic, insecure and jealous. I guess the "song-stealing-greasy-headed-douchebag" had the last laugh!

Yah I always found the concept of VFTW to be ironic. They called most contestants pathetic and yet, there they were...Making judgemental first impressions about people they didn't know. Wonder what is more pathetic.

awe. I liked Jason (he seemed really geniune and talented - if not typical AI material) so it's nice to hear him obviously being proud of David.

I miss Jason's cheesy ass. He was karaoke and corny, sure, but I kinda liked it.

Plus he was kind of a DILF.

Good to see one of the Horsemen stuck it out till the end.

Jason was my favorite in the competition and when he was eliminated I slowly started to like David and here I am. I thought Jason did pretty well actually...

That's so nice (even if Jason's typing kind of makes my brain sad). Viva la Horsemen. Hope Horse Menard is doing okay with his Hodgkin's.

Cookie, Jason Y. Mike, and Luke? Those are four guys I would let have their way with me in a heartbeat. David Hernandez and Jason Castro too. What? There's nothing to read there.

Oy. Some people are meant to sing and not write. Still, very cute, and really, what a coincidence the four of them all made it as far as they did.
