[pairing] David Cook/David Archuleta
[rating] PG-13
[word count] 300
[summary] David and David celebrate the Fourth of July (sucky summaries are sucky, I know)

[author's notes] Written [info]david_squared's challenge #39 [summer] and challenge #40 for which I've used the three prompts [New York Fourth of July fireworks, blue, red and white decorated table, and a sparkler]. I mentioned them all in passing, I hope it is okay. Also, written in like, ten minutes because I needed to get my mind off the Cookaboo I am currently writing and work was slow. So well, it can be total crap. Sorry for that.

The entry will be public for a week, then I will lock it and you will have to friend my writing journal, [info]lc_writings, to be able to access this story and my other works.

Rating: PG-13
Word count: 2695

Colors Of A Bruise [Hard R] [Cookleta]

  • Jun. 21st, 2009 at 1:40 AM
[title] Colors Of A Bruise
[author] Lire Casander
[beta] [info]jehane18. Any remaining mistakes are my own fault.
[pairing] David Cook/David Archuleta
[rating] Hard R
[word count] 4468
[summary] You're a child, crayon in hand, you're out of line again and your colors are untrue
[disclaimer] I don't own nor have ever met David Cook nor David Archuleta. Everything about them is completely fiction, and any similarity with reality is a mere coincidence. I do not own Axium nor their song Colors Of A Bruise, from which the title and intersections are taken.
[warnings] Second person. Archie's POV. Present tense. Heavy angst. Hints of major character death. Domestic abuse. Hints of non–con. Violence. You have been warned.
[author's notes] Written for [info]david_squared's challenge #35 prompt #1 [Savage Garden's The Best Thing], challenge #36 prompt #1 ["You don't always have to be who they want you to be, you know?" from Ten Things I Hate About You], challenge #37 prompt #3 [a tattoo parlor] and challenge #38 using all the prompts [colors of the rainbow]. Yeah, you can say I went challenge!happy much.
[additional author's note] The colors have different meanings, and they have been used according to the information I researched at Color Meanings. I chose only a couple of meanings for each color and tried to convey them in every part of this. The meanings are as follows:
* Green: life/jealousy
* Blue: calmness/depression
* Purple: loyalty/spirituality
* Red: love/violence
* Orange: energy/warmth
* Yellow: happiness/cowardice
[special dedication] To [info]clionona, who wanted me to come back in the game and encouraged me to use as many prompts as my crazy mind could gather together. I know you would have preferred fluff, but since you always say my angst moves you much more than my fluffy endings, I thought to gift you with this. Thank you for everything, darling.

The entry will be public for a week. After that, it will be locked like the rest of my fiction

I am hoping that I have established sufficient literary credentials from the poetry slam and the song vignettes, such that you guys will look kindly on this AU outing, which was written for the David Squared Movie Quote Weekly Challenge #34.

Title: Two Worlds Become One
Pairing: Cook/Archuleta
Rating: R/M18 - basically, WARNING, y'all.
Summary: Cookleta in the Star Trek XI Universe
Note: Written for the May David Squared Musical Challenge #34, Prompt #1.

Beta:
The very patient[info]jtodvm (who thought that parts of it were kind of Stranger In A Strange Land). Thanks for everything, especially your BoUH and ST brain, bb – I know you’re really half-Vulcan! All errors remain completely mine.

Dedication: This is for[info]motherendurance and[info]amccoy1972, the other Cookleta members of our classic K/S-loving triumvirate. Sorry, ladies, I couldn’t go there with David/David, so I ultimately went in the Spock/Nyota direction, instead. Also, huge shout-out to epic, locus classicus ST:TOS K/S story, CM Decarnin’s Intreat Me Not To Leave Thee, which features, um, a Vulcan member of true epic proportions, which this fic references. Every ST fan should read this story, which is, in Amy’s words, the Woodstock of Slash Writing.

Disclaimer: Not-for-profit absolute work of fiction; will remove it without prejudice if a cease and desist notice is issued
