Things I loved about CF 2009, aside from meeting everyone. :3 1) The anti-twilight sentiments. Seriously, seeing the sign that says 'No *pika* vampires' in large text and in smaller text '*ahem* twilight' really really made it a good start of the day 2) Hearing people asking their friends 'what is fujoshi?' after kitmun participated in one of the solo cosplay competition skits. Maybe it's better you guys don't know. Really. 3) Nendrooooids T__T So expensive but neeendrooooids. 4) When the following songs were sung on stage: 'Doubt and Trust' by access and 'Oblivious' by Kalafina 5) Spotting this shop that was selling BL manga/doujinshi (translated to chinese). The best part was 'Chintsubu A' was the doujin that sat out in the open. So unsafe. 6) Okita's eyemask. I DIDN'T BUY IT. BUT OKITA'S EYEMASK DX 7) The emcees were amazing. 20 December 2009 @ 9:12 PM Comic Fiesta 2009 [ ] shirochan [ mood | okay ] Sorry I've got no pictures. I brought a camera but I didn't use it. <-- lazy bum. The only time I used it was during one of the solo cosplay competition skits. The one with Final Fantasy Dissidia's Garland and Devil May Cry's Vergil. That was just one of the epically amazing skits. (so BL hahaha) Was so surprised by the number of Hetalia and Volcaloid cosplays and merchandise at the event/booths. I had no idea there were so many people into Volcaloids locally. D: I lost count of how many Rins and Lens and Gakupos and Mikus I saw. There was a complete set of cosplayers for the two following volcaloid vids that I could identify: 1) Synchronocity 2) Imitation Black It was good fun. Met up with gerai_neon, may_billy, anna_chiba, kitmun, priestnobaka, my_chris and met a few others. Also met Claude from Sabra La Tau. It was fun and tiring and I kept losing sight of people throughout the day. |D I bought more stuff than I thought I would too. Short report is short. 18 December 2009 @ 4:12 PM Another decade and getting "old" [ ] doggiedynasty [ music | SONIC CD SDTK (EU/JP version) ] Why can't I get e-mail notification when someone replies to my entries/comments?! ^ One of my game idols who has changed history. I am currently listening to the soundtrack of Sonic CD (EU/JP version), which I never thought I would like so much and makes me remember that I have a tendency to like video game music even back then. I like both EU/JP and American versions almost equally. Well done on both SEGA! I have very little to say on the new 3-D Sonic because I'm not that up-to-date. No controversial talk today! Let's bring out Ban Midou. It's almost 2010. Ten years sure is a long time, or I felt that 2009 passed too quickly. Or maybe this year has been slow and terrible, I can't decide at all. It was definately terrible. Annnnnd, I'm not looking forward to New Year cleaning that much. From 2000 to 2009, I feel like I've changed a bit. Of course I feel a bit more mature. I reflect back on what's been happening and try to stay calm. I also realized that I'm really into moral human rightenousness and I get myself into topics on youtube and AOL such as Racism, which is too universal to get rid of. I think that topic is getting way out of hand now and used/viewed incorrectly or maybe too abundantly now. I shouldn't get riled up like that because I think some of the worst comments I've found anywhere are ON THOSE two sites AOL and YouTube. That can be topped of course. and I just refuse to think that people are that rotten/dumb and maybe they're doing it for attention. I also do find myself questioning my intelligence. Last weekend I think, I did something interesting. I got my little sister the annoying one to play the Scary Maze Game. Mom and I watched, and she didn't realize that she was being recorded by a mic (I'm against cameras and taking pictures. I'm even more against it since I was pressured about it). Funny results! It actually was a nice family experience. It was inspired by this video. Someone recommended me to go to NICO and I'm thinking, "but HOW?! And why?" Once I did, it turned out a really awesome place. I have so much fun there and lots of useful videos like Game Walkthroughs. And even better, there doesn't seem to be time limits for the videos. This year, my dog is going to be ten years old on the 23rd. Good job Morrigan! You have nice gray hair ;) It's on the back of her legs too and it makes me laugh. Speaking of dogs, there's this piece of news about a family sueing a person (with many animal abuse charges) for killing their dog. But that's not it, the wife seemed to have quit her job to devote herself to her pets, who have been orphaned. Should we even go that far? Another thing on Morrigan: About a month ago, I had a little scare with her but she felt better the next day. I don't know what it meant, but one moment she was just fine, moving normally inside the hosue, then like ten minutes later, she started to act melancholy. She looked like her, she had that heart-dropping look in her eyes. Her tail was drooping, she was slower than usual, and wasn't as responsive. But she got better. She'll still fine now. I just don't like it when she eats random things from off the floor. You'll never know...dogs don't get mid-life crisis do they? Mom told me this interesting story about how kids don't bath properly enough (lately?)? Or don't use enough lotion? And they smell bad. She works at a hospital and yeah...you can imagine. It was funny because how she acted when telling the story. That's it for today. How about a few videos? ( VIDEO TIME! ) One last thing, I beat Megaman 2 for the first time in my life this year. 16 December 2009 @ 11:12 PM [ ] shirochan [ mood | chipper ] Dolls doujinshi makes me so happy. (Thank you, skutergirl) The Remix version has a crossover of all three naked-ape works. (How do you pronounce the name 鵺射? Nue-something? Nuesha? -_- or Yasha?) Hal and Shouta's 'rivalry' is amazing. The way Kai is just LIKED by all of the Tokkei and how Hal had to kidnap Kai away from everyone in the end. ♥ The Sakurazawa and Shouta omake are my favorites. With Shikibu and Usaki omake next. And Shouta and Tama third. This makes me want to buy 鵺射 because it's only one volume. (I will finish reading Switch one day. Probably.) I'll go to bed in glee with the doujins now. <3 Started playing 'ダテにガメついわけじゃねぇ！' on DS. I haven't gotten to game play yet but the dialogue is cracking me up. It helps that the main character is voiced by Sugita and the annoyingly chipper character is voiced by Shimono. Un. I don't have anything interesting to add. I'll be attending Comic Fiesta Day 2 (and hopefully not spend too much) So yay~ Seeing Kara no Kyoukai stuff on Little Akiba's list of items makes me want to cry. ;o; I better try to go to sleep again. Not just anime and manga, but what hobbies do you have? Other than Anime and Manga, I like watching people. N-Not that I'm a stalker or anything okay?!
