I have a mission for you, Daria fans.

I need to bring in an example of satire for a homework assignment for english, and I want to bring in a Daria quote.

Looking through the transcripts, I can find some good examples but I was wondering if anyone else knew of a good example of how Daria is a social satire.

Personally I love my icon quote. I think it fits because she's kinda of a loner and they describe loners as people with low self esteem and voila, her quote makes it funny. I hope that made sense.

Don't know exactly if this works as a satire, but... the art project from Arts n' Crass seems like it might fit.
She knows she's a winner
She couldn't be thinner
She goes in the bathroom
and vomits up dinner.

thats a good example of a social critique - and the response of mr o neil etc highlights discrepancies between appearance and intention (i.e. pretending to maintain the integrity of the work)
