New As We WereAnd usually I don't write about personal stuff on the site. Because honestly I figure you guys are here for only for the comic and if it doesn't effect the comic you guys don't need to know about it. But this is sorta related to the comic so I think a write up is appropriate. Yesterday, I found out one of my professors, Jeremy "Sweetwater" Mullins, died in a hiking accident. I was in the first class he taught at SCAD, one on webcomics. He was the one who helping me out the most building a website and if pretty much the reason sorcery101.net has the book site design most of you are familiar with. Before that is was functional but was pretty damn ugly. I butted heads with him a lot. Even when I was feeling a lot of hate for the man, I never didn't have crazy amounts of respect for him. Sweetwater was probably the only one pimping Sorcery 101 more than me. He always made crazy amounts of time for all his students, to the point where he was skipping meals and much needed rest sometimes. Mullins was always positive and professional. He was always pushing people to improve and shot for the stars. It's a huge loss to the world that he's gone and he will be missed greatly.
And in the words of Sweetwater,
That's what's up.
And for the readers going to Heroes Con next weekend don't worry I'll still be there. Sweetwater's ghost would be pissed if I wasn't out there promoting myself.
