Hey Folks.

I just wanted to send all of you within an hour or so of Kitchener a
note to let you know that a 2ND SHOW has been added to the Shannon
Lyon/Rob Szabo and Myself show at The Centre In The Square.

The 1st show sold out within hours of going onsale back in November,
so I'd recommend getting tickets early.

Tickets go onsale THIS Saturday at 10am.

I saw Danny at Mariposa Folk Festival in Orillia, ON last weekend, it was fantastic! He played really, really well, and I took lots of pictures, but my camera went on the fritz and left me with only

I also got Valhalla (finally)! It is such a good album, I've been listening to it nonstop. He's going to be at BluesFest in a couple days, and I'm going! Anyone else?

Melt Together first contest...

Welcome fans and friends of Danny Michel !

Today, his new European fansite, Melt Together, launchs its first (double) contest, at the occasion of Danny's DVD filming show at the Mod Club in Toronto, on June 16th.

Which Danny's songs would do like to see immortalized on a DVD, live ?

And, would you like to own a "Canada's coming for tea" Tour collector poster ? I mean, a unique original one, that has been stuck up on the wall at a place they have played last March ?

Today, Melt Together gives you the opportunity to answer the first, and a chance to win the second. How can you do that ? Obvious...

Principles :

1) Send me (by any means of your choice, including the contact page on Melt Together) a list of the 15 songs you'd loved to see/hear on Danny's upcoming DVD, in preferential decreasing order.

2) Wait until June 17th for the results of the contest, and if your list is the closest one to the setlist Danny will have played at his Mod Club DVD recording show the night before, you win !

Be careful : The contest will be over on June 9th, so that, as the icing on the cake, I will be able to send to Danny our "fans best of" list one week prior to the show, and, who knows ? Even if the setlist is probably fixed yet, since it's a full band one and they have to rehearse together, and, most of all, for he's the only Master on board :), maybe he will take it into consideration and play a few unexpected songs of your own choice...

And the more we will be to answer, the greater chance we'll have at this.

So now, grab your quill !

I'm soo excited to see there is a Danny Michel Fan page on LJ:) I am such a huge Danny fan and have had the opportunity to see him many times and he certainly does not disappoint! He is both a great entertainer and musician! I was at Danny's first Christmas Show this past Sunday at Jane Bond and again an amazing show! Well Minus the Scary Singing Santa! haha

Hi! I'm new to the community, my nickname is Willow, and I have been a fan of Danny Michel for about a year-ish now...
I'd like to share a story about an amazing afternoon...

There was a folk fest in my town, Northern Lights Festival Boréal - Sudbury - and Danny was playing with Sarah Harmer, we were broke from seeing the Trews and going to the fest each of the three days so we couldn't go see Sarah Harmer that night, but Danny was doing some workshops during the day. My folk fest buddy, Wildflower, and I are both Danny fans and decided to make it part of our weekend-plan see the workshop at the acoustic stage at 3. It was so cool, just sitting in the grass at the front of the stage in the sunshine watching Danny Michel and some other guys play, that we followed him to his next workshop at 4 in the arts village, across the park. Once again, we found a good spot in the grass in the shade under the tent and mellowed out to the music. That was my fun afternoon at folk fest on a Sunday afternoon with Danny Michel. He was simply amazing.

I quite recently found out about Danny Michel (wandering around at Mariposa!). I Tales From The Invisible Man and definitely have not stopped listening to it...awesome that I found people that like him too ^__^
