T H E _ B O Y S

Danny Taylor and Martin Fitzgerald. Such depth to these characters, they have layers and angst and pain and love. Each episode we want to know more about why they are who they are.

But together, Danny and Martin take on an entire new level. Together they chase down suspects, playing off each other perfectly, they joke, they laugh, they share sandwiches and pain. They are our boys and we love them. It helps that they are beautiful, nobody ever denies that... but there is so much more to this ship than your usual slash pairing. It isn't just about sex. Even when it is, it isn't.

And they have such dark, dark souls. I can see the desperate love making in the depth of the night when all you have to hold onto is each other and all you have to keep you alive is the air that the other person breathes.

That is Danny and Martin.


T H E _ F A N D O M

This community has been a long time coming. And what better time for it to come along? The fandom is slowly falling over the edge and that pains me more than you could know. Because I still love them as much as ever and I know other people do too. So let's haul it back into our hearts.

We've always had the fanfiction, the art... and we've built up the friendships. But we need more. We need discussion, meta... we need to squee again, damnit!

We want to know how it touches other people's souls, what makes other people ache the same way we, ourselves, ache. What we see in Danny and Martin that maybe some people don't. And why.

We also want to know who's hotter, which season Martin had the best hair and if Danny really looked like a pimp gone wrong in Season One's Victory For Humanity. We want to know who would make the first move, why Martin dresses better some days than others and when they said I love you... if they even have at all.

Post it, post it all, post meta and rants and squee and icons, picspam us and drool and giggle. Tell us who you think the boys are and we'll tell you. Do it all, almost anything goes...

T H E _ R U L E S

Now for the boring part. I am not a big fan of rules, I believe fandom should be enjoyed, not controlled... everyone has a little fangirl in them just waiting to get out. However we do need some... guidelines, if you will.

No bashing of the show, the characters, the fandom or its members.
This includes the bashing of slash and any disrespect towards homosexual relationships. We also don't want to see you wearing your 'I hate Elena' placards and marching down the street. This community is about Danny and Martin and their relationship. Failure to adhere to this rule will result in the immediate banning of the offending user(s).

No fanfiction.
If you write fic please share it with us at wat_slash. Theres no sense in having two identical communties. Any fanfiction posted here will be deleted.

However, if there's a fic out there that you simply adore and you think it deserves to be recommended - perhaps an older fic that has been forgotten lately or maybe a brand new fic that is just so good that it can't be ignored? By all means, go ahead and rec it, give us your opinion or tell us what it meant to you. It's important to feed the love and good fic recs will do just that.. In fact this sort of behaviour is encouraged ;)

The lj cut tag is your friend.
Please put all spoilers and episode discussion behind a cut, clearly labelled. Some people may be spoiler free and/or be watching from outside the US, where the show can be seasons behind.

Please cut anymore than three icons and large images.

Be mature. But not too much!
If someone expresses an opinion that you don't agree with, please just accept it as an opportunity to discuss a point. Leave the angst up to Danny and Martin to bring to the party ;)
