Hello everyone! Welcome to the Damon/Elena community from the CW tv show and book series by L.J. Smith, "The Vampire Diaries".
If you're a fan of this pair, don't waste any time and join! Only joining the community you will able to see our entries.
However, if you are a Stefan fan and ship Stefan/Elena, THIS IS NOT THE PLACE FOR YOU. We will not be responsible for any hurt feelings. If your heart breaks every time someone mocks Stefan and calls him an Angel wannabe? This is not the place for you.
If you have any questions, comments, affiliates requests, etc., feel free to ask here.

Rules.
guidelines for good living.

1. Hello, you must ship Damon/Elena. Any post against the couple, the characters, or Ian and Nina will be deleted, and the poster will be banned. I hope you're all grown up enough to know what is bashing and what isn't. Because of the nature of the community, some mocking of the other characters is natural, especially Stefan. If your fragile sensibilities can't handle that, DON'T JOIN. It's okay if you ship them only on the show, BUT in a post discussing book!D/E, please stay away and don't tell us why you think S/E is better: we will delete the comment and if you do it again, we will ban you.
2. Put spoilers behind a cut! The books have been out for 15 years, so they doesn't count as a spoiler. What we consider spoilers are the upcoming episodes of TVD, and new books. Even if an episode has already been aired, not everyone gets to see it the same night. So an aired episode is considered a spoiler for at least a couple of days after it airs.
3. Don't be too off topic! Use your good sense. We don't care about what you ate for breakfast (unless you ate something that really made you think of D/E? In that case you need therapy). Posts about Ian and Nina's solo projects, pictures, news about the show, etc. are all welcome - we love any excuse to stare at the pretty!
4. Tag your posts, please? Here's our tag list. We even have a tag for when you don't know how to tag a post, so you've got no excuse!
5. You want to post a fanfic? Awesome! We love fanfics! But, please, remember some easy rules to make it all easier on all of us: first of all, fanfics are long. Put them behind a cut! You can also link to your own journal, but no locked posts. Second, posting only "I wrote a new fanfic, click here to read it," is rude and annoying. You must include the title, a brief summary, the rating, a genre (fluff, angst, drama, etc), and the characters/pairings featured. If it contains any spoilers, please warn for that; the same goes if it contains any questionable content, like rape, non-con, or smut. Yes, we find it hard to believe too, but not everyone wants to read smut! Also, every fanfic must have two tags: one for the rating (ex. fanfic:pg13) and one for the author (author:yourusername). If it's your first time posting, you won't have an author tag, so use the author: newbie tag instead; the mods will add a tag with your names ASAP. Last but not least, the main pairing of your fic must be Damon/Elena. That goes without saying, right?
6. Let's recap what goes behind a cut, shall we? Spoilers, no matter how small; fanfictions, no matter how short; big images; when making an icon post, you can put max 3 icons as a preview, the rest goes behind a cut, too; any kind of really long post or essay; and all the sparkly text your heart desires.
7. Do you have a community to promote? Ask the mods' permission first! You can do it by posting a comment here. Same goes for affiliates requests, suggestions, comments, marriage proposals, etc.
8. Don't link to a locked journal! We want to see your fanfic/fanart/icon etc., and if you link to your journal and it's locked we can't. And it's annoying to have to friend your community/journal just for that.
9. Your icon post needs to have at least 5 Damon/Elena (or Ian/Nina, as long as they're together) icons, or it will be deleted.
10. Your art post needs to have at least 1 Damon/Elena preview, or it will be deleted.

Moderated membership.
Pros and cons? This is the con.

For security reasons, the membership of this journal is moderated. That means that the mods will receive your request to join, and will approve/reject it. Your request will be rejected if your journal is brand new, with no entries, friends or comments.
