| About: | Damnportlanders is the best damn community. :) To get in touch with all moderators, feel free to e-mail dp@giapet.net. Whoever gets your e-mail first will handle whatever's up. This is a Portland LJ community. However, posts don't have to be Portland related. This community is both read-at-your-own-risk and post-at-your-own-risk. We are known for being snarky, sometimes downright mean, and controversial. As such, we are often home to potentially offensive thoughts, words, and images. Here are the main rules, such as they are: 1. No disabling of comments or deleting of other peoples' comments (deleting your own is okay, as long as you're not just commenting and then deleting to piss someone off without getting in trouble). If you feel a comment should be deleted, DO NOT DELETE IT YOURSELF. E-mail the mods and we'll deal with it as fast as we can. 2. No bringing in personal shit. By which I mean, bringing up personal stuff from other peoples' individual journals or other communities for the purpose of campaigning against them or whatever. Basically, starting and/or continuing a personal argument or just trying to harass a specific user is BAD MMMKAY. ALSO: do NOT leave messages for the mods in their personal journals. That's what LJ messaging and the mod e-mail address are for. 3. General dickitude-- e.g. posting tubgirl-esque photos without an lj-cut, intentionally flooding the community with posts, and just generally purposely trying to drive everyone else insane --can also lead to banination and stuff. Trust me when I say that I can tell the difference between what I'm calling "general dickitude" and the usual level of harassment/rudeness around here. Note: if you post potentially offensive pictures with an LJ-cut, it still counts as dickitude if you don't put a clear warning as to the content under the cut. But if you make sure people know what they're getting into when they click the cut, all is well. It is requested that posters use the lj-cut tag for large graphics and long text (more than a paragraph). Respect different views as you voice your opinion. This is required. Don't get me wrong here though- feel free to disagree. Feel free to email me if you have any serious problems with anyone.
