One of the few real-life superheroes died Monday, and I cried quietly for all the world.

"Today is a very sad day for the world of arts and letters."

Kurtzman faded out in '93, but the secret-adventure-tale-spinning favorite uncle/grandfather I've ever had was encapsulated in the forgotten pages of Eisner's books long-lost in my grandmother's attic...

I've been no good for anything since I heard.

I wanted him to show my kids the light, and they haven't even become a twinkle in these eyes!

on a ligher note, I left my moping at home and took myself out to A Life Aquatic yesterday. The only thing that could've brought me up, and I love it! :)
