i've been participating in d'merde salon for a bit. i'm reading this friday. it's a growing, welcoming group of writers, painters, photographers, film-makers, musicians, etc, and there are various agents/gallery owners/producers/people who want to look at comic scripts hanging out as well. it happens every six weeks. artists choose the work, and present it to the (very drunk, often absinthe-y) gathering in my friend's large studio space. there's always a fire, beer & wine, and enough san pellegrino for the next century. the info is in the flyer below the cut, at the salon website, or at the myspace event or at the facebook event. it's a sliding scale donation ($5-15 suggested), and there's absolutely no selling, just donation for the booze and food the organizer provides. feel free to repost.
