I decided that now was a fine time to take the coins out of my jar up to the bank this morning. So grabbing the jar, I noticed a dim coin that didn't fit in with the others. So I reached down and grabbed it. It was a 1935 Indian head nickel.

After cheering a bit on irc, I went back and sure enough, there were more. There weren't many coins in the jar, so I went through them. Final counts says 40 nickels in all. Ranging from 1920 through 1937. There is one that is looks like it should be 1919, but the date is nearly worn completely off and is hard to tell.

The value ranges from a dollar to $150 depending on the year and web site you look at. I'm not getting rid of them quite yet though.

Wikipedia also confirms the rarity by stating,"Today, any talk of a Buffalo Nickel showing up in circulation is notable, as approximately 1 in 25,000 nickels in circulation today is a Buffalo Nickel. Many of these have the date completely worn off."

So me finding 40 of them in my change jar, I am guessing is pretty astronomical.

Washington’s Wildlife is under attack. We made so much good progress and now they'er (people like hunters who think they need to kill big cougs to prove their strong men. They have their own lobby force.) gunna try to roll it back! I wish I knew why, but I still believe that no matter the reason inhumane hunting practices are still lame. Anyways, here are some more Humane Society worries for all of you to read up on. And if you’re a Washingtonian, take action! If not, maybe it could be useful knowledge or random trivia?
Lobbying is coming up for a lot of interest groups. So if you want to actually meet a legislator you could lobby, or you could just set up a meeting with them in the off season. It's rather easy.

I work by the square and I heard the MAX honk their horn real loud, then announce that everyone had to stay on the train. It was stopped halfway into the intersection. Then we hear sirens, like 5 fire trucks, an ambulence, police, and Trimet officials also arrived to save the day. So we run to our window to investigate the unfolding events. What type of emergency would require so many vehicles but force people to stay on? Anyway, our conclusion was that a car ran into the front of the MAX. After seeing the banged up car a block up the street. Maybe this happens all the time, I've never seen it. It dislodged the MAX from it's light rail ... cable thing (don't know technical terms. haha).

Oh, people. I am going to miss working right at the square and having a front row view of all the action!

Well, I've found the wonderful ghost-writer in DVD format. They are VERY expensive. I want to buy them anyway because I can't pass up the opportunity to preserve them in a great format, plus putting them on my ipod would be so awesome. I was wondering if anyone would be interested in copies of these. I know it's not exactly legal, but trust me when i say they are very expensive. I'm just trying to bring the media to the masses since they are only on VHS on amazon and ebay and are about $30 each, NOT make profit. I really want everyone to be able to get nostalgic up in here.
