An Irishman and an American were sitting in the bar at Shannon Airport.

"I've come to meet my brother," said the Irishman. "He's due to fly in from
America in an hour's time. It's his first trip home in forty years".

"Will you be able to recognize him?" asked the American.

"I'm sure I won't," said the Irishman, "after all, he's been away for a long time".

"I wonder if he'll recognize you?" said the American.

"Of course he will," said the Irishman. "Sure, an' I haven't been away at all".

Hey, I said hi to you this morning on the MAX and you ignored me! ( I've seen you at the DP meetups before...but I'll be damned if I can remember your name.

You had red hair, and headphones on. You got on @ PGE and off @ Pioneer Square. You then proceeded to walk pretty fast down the street, before I could catch up and say hi! We've met before...who the hell are ya? Heh...it's just bugging me that I couldn't remember your name.

Opinions needed
I'm looking to purchase a digital SLR camera in the somewhat near future.

I used to have a Canon, but the asshole formerly known as my father stole it. It's been years and my two digital cameras have been doing very well for me, but I'm itching to get an SLR.

Anyone have any opinions on which one to get?

Does anyone have a recommendation of where to go to purchase one? I've thought of buying one online, but I think I'd feel more comfortable with buying one in person somewhere. That way, if there's something wrong with it when I open the box, I can just go back to that store. You know how it is.

I really don't have a price in mind. I know how much they run and I'm totally cool with paying big bucks for one. Anything to help me break into the porn industry LOL.

Thankful Thursdays, Portland style....
1. The welcome appearance of rain.

2. Walking around yesterday afternoon in a semi-windstorm, and watching the blossom petals swirl chaotically.

3. Experiencing paddling on the Willamette River for the very first time (thanks to the Portland Boat House's grand opening last weekend--the dragon boat paddling was fun!).

4. The Shamrock Ale Festival at the Pioneer Square--today through Saturday.

5. Witnessing an excellent Duran Duran show at the Rose Garden last Thursday night.
