anyone had experience with any of the pre-k programs in Portland? My daughter misses the cut-off age by three weeks, so we need to figure out which pre-K program for her to attend. (we would pick the neighborhood school (Vernon) if our neighborhood who works there hadn't told us how bad it is!)

Are there any other tuition-based public-school preschools other than Irvington? These sorts of programs seem to be a bit underground and not easily accessable.

I got pulled over today and I have the option of taking the seatbelt class to have the ticket not on my record. Has anyone attended this class? I will be going to the class in Oregon City, does anyone have an experience to share. Does anyone know how much it costs to take the class?

I don't actually need to see one for any sort of diagnosis. I want a food allergy test run. However, according to a local lab, it's *illegal* in this state (and most states) to have your own diagnostic tests run by a lab. You have to go through a doctor. Legislature was all afraid we'd ask for tests and not be able to interpret some of them, so we can't ask for them at all. *fume*

Not having a physician due to being new to town, is there anyone y'all can recommend that will just rubber stamp this? The test I have in mind is quite clear and doesn't require a doctor to read it off to me.

So how does a girl go about getting one of those... bus pass thingies? Ill only be riding it about 3 miles each way straight down burnside on weekdays. Is there a way to pay by card online and have it sent to me or something?
