shut up and write event on 6pm sunday at albina press in se
i "organize" this event (website shamefully not updated, but we're in the middle of launching a new one) with the portland literary offensive, a group of writers, editors and small presses. this month we're meeting at the new albina press on hawthorne. from the facebook event:
any and all are welcome to join us. we've moved away from having author readings and it's usually just time to lurk, write and kvetch.
edit: if you have published something (even a zine or comic), do feel free to bring it. a lot of writers pass around, trade and sell their stuff at shut up and write events.

Shut Up and Write meets once a month to give Portland writers time to mingle, drink coffee and work together. This month, we'll be visiting the new Albina Press location at 5012 SE Hawthorne, next to the Sapphire Hotel. They close promptly at 8, but I, for one, have a really hard time turning down cocktails next door.
