Not really. That's going to depend upon which side spins yesterday's speech the best.

I say he'll have this thing won or lost 48 hours from now.

When the dust finally settles, Oregon will be celebrated as the state who helped to put Obama in the WhiteHouse. They'll tell stories of our great state in nations far and wide... we'll be in history books forever and ever.

Ok, so, we can only hope. :)

Ooh! Remembered in Story an Song! I can see it all now: a hundred years from now some small child will stand on a stage at America's Small-Child Idol and sing "The Ballad of Oregon: How you saved the nation I love!" *snickers* And a thousand years from now it'll be remembered in myth by blind bards who tell the tale of Brave Barack who slew the dragon-Clinton (by then they'll believe we used sword fights to determine our presidents) and led the People of Oregon to freedom and peace!

"Brave Barack" and "People of Oregon"...

That was fantastic!

If Clinton's the Dragon, what are Nader and McCain?

You ever heard of Scylla and Charybdis? *smirks* I think the answer to your question is somewhere in there.

Yes, he has won...he'll be the nominee. But Hillary may be able to wound him enough in the coming months that McCain will squeak by in the Electoral College. Then four years from now she'll be back saying "You'd have won if you'd picked me...and she'll run again. Meanwhile "Mac" will invade six more countries, and we'll have a 7 to 2 right-wing majority on the Supreme Court. That'll only suck for...about the next three decades.

I've heard a lot of people of different persuasions mention to me that they believe McCain stands a greater chance of winning against Hillary than Obama. Frankly, I think it makes sense. I get the feeling a lot of "those-minded" people care more about keeping Hillary out of the WH than about letting Obama in.

I believe McCain has a better chance against Clinton than he does against Obama as well. I -really- think Clinton should drop out. It's not going to happen, of course, but that's what I think should happen.

I really think she should drop out as well, for the sake of the democratic party, and all. But then, we all wouldn't hate her so much if she could be counted on to do what she SHOULD do.

The math says no, he hasn't...

Delegates needed: 2025
Clinton: 1494
Obama: 1627

Good sign so far. How does it look for the remaining states? Any predicted loyalties and such?

not just a good sign - Clinton cannot reasonably catch Obama in the primaries. Her only hope is an extra-electoral win through bashing him hard enough to sway the super-delegates to her side. Whole thing just makes me cranky. I wish the DNC would start swinging a big stick - when has Howard Dean ever NOT been in the news for three months?

That's exactly what I'm afraid is going to happen. :/

Unfortunately, the polls show that his numbers have gone down since the whole pastor incident and McCain has taken the lead overall. Sad.
