Question #1: Spiral-Binding Books
I have a couple of smallish paper-backed books (specifically some indie RPG books) that I want to remove from their binding and have set with spirals instead, fo ease of laying out flat on a table while reading and working. Are there places in Portland that do this?

Kinkos. My dad has done it quite a bit.

Kinko's price is as follows:
$1.49 to cut the spine.
$3.99 to coil bind it.

Or if I do it for you, the labor is free and it's 25 cents for the spiral.

Coil binding is worth the added expense. SPiral binding sucks ass.

I call spiral/coil the same thing since we don't have wire binds. So...

yeah. 25c for the coil/spiral if I do it under yond table.

Wire sucks too. It just bends and screws up the paper.

I'm not a fan. I had one guy with a wire bound copy want to add a few pages. We did a debind/rebind, but I had to find some needle nose pliers to uncrimp the ends and all sorts of headache.

The clear/black coils are much nicer IMHO. Ligher, less snaggy...
