Any T-Mobile customers here?
Is anyone else having troubles with receiving and making phonecalls?
Several of us [who are Tmobile customers] haven't been able to make or receive calls, nor access our voicemails in the last 20 hrs. Text messages come in 2 hrs late.
When I tried calling my own phone from a house phone it goes either straight into voicemail or it tells me that all circuits are busy.

Network outage?

I get pockets of lag/downtime/ass-hattery in which my text messages come and go anywhere from 2 hours to 2 days after I or the sender sent them. Sometimes my voicemail will record a message but not notify me until a half day later that I actually received a call. It was extremely infuriating trying to look for work with these symptoms. My neighbor, who texts me often and has the exact same phone and plan as I do, always experiences the same downtime as I do, when I do.

I'm removing myself from T-Mobile's services as quickly as I can afford to. I was ecstatic with them three years ago. In the present day, not so much.

I got the phone in June. The outages started in July. They got really, really annoying in September. I don't notice the outages happening as much anymore, but then, I don't rely on my phone for very important communications anymore.

that is annoying
did you try changing your sim cards?
the guy just told me that i just might have to do that..but I don't really know how that could help if there are network outages

Try power cycling your phone a few times a week. You don't have to leave it off at all. Just turn it off then right back on. It might help.

PRO TIP: If you are having problems with your cell phone, consider calling your cellular service provider.

Maybe the tower in your area is down. I'm in NE Portland, and can receive calls.

The text message I just sent myself through LJ is a bit slow, but that's normal.

Have you called T-Mobile?

I haven't been having any trouble. Maybe it's your phone.

Sunspots, and/or solar flares. Or maybe T-Mobile just sucks.

I saw this post earlier today, and mine was working fine. Then a couple hours ago I got a call, and the instant I answered, it disconnected and displayed a "network failed" message. I turned the phone off and on, and now it's fine.

I heard it's the start of another 11-year solar cycle, so the sunspots might be causing things to go all wonky.
