Gevurtz Menashe is known to be the top family law firm around. Can't recommend a specific lawyer though.

Mayhaps call the oregon bar? they may have a good rec.

I just talked to a lawyer last night over a pint at the VC who said some people are becoming afraid to give referrals nowadays because if you refer someone, and the lawyer doesn't pan out, they can sue you for (forgot what he called it) something like neglectful recommendations. rofl

no good deed...

If by VC you mean Virginia Cafe, it's moving to SW 10th between Yamhill and Taylor, across from the Central Library at the Streetcar stop.

Across the street from the Library where WWeek used to be. They'll be moving next week.

I'm excited too, because my creative writing group bought a tile so our names will be immortalized (well until the next move) on their floor.

Gevurtz Menashe or Johnson Renshaw are both great firms. Eric Larson at Gevurtz and Marc Johnson at Johnson are both good.

Also if finances are an issue, St. Andrews Legal Clinic does family law on a sliding scale. I am a volunteer attorney there.
