Happenings in the Tron?
Does anyone know what was going on in Beaverton on Hall Blvd between Greenway and Hart Rd. around 10:00 or 10:30 (it might still be going on for all I know)? At least that entire stretch of road was blocked off by flares and cop cars, and only flashing lights could be seen in the distance around the apartments across the street from the Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall. There's no mention of anything on the news...

Enquiring minds need to know!

I saw something about it on KGW. Apparently someone flew into an apartment building going 100 mph.

Yep. That's the gist of it. Car going very fast, goes airborne, crashes into apartment. Car lands upside down, bursts into flames. As of last night, they'd found "at least" one body, which is a police euphemism for "it was so grisly, we're not entirely sure how many people were inside in the car."

I just checked my email, and sure enough, now it's two dead -- a man and woman inside the car. No names/ages released yet.

Yikes. I don't know what would posses someone, other than sheer stupidity, to go around that curve at 100 mph. I feel uneasy going 40 mph and that's the speed limit. :\

i used to love off of greenway, and i am guilty of going around that curve at around 60mph a few times. but 100? christ almighty. no pun intended. :o
