As per the usual, please check the listing and the comm before posting a new location and use the name listed on the links page. I've re-ordered the list to read left-to-right according to the Doyleton map (which can be found at damned_maps), so I hope it makes some logical sense (I'm a liiittle tired today. XD;).

Links to request posts and other important information can also be found on the page. If anything is coded incorrectly, please post to the links page and I'll reply back when it's been fixed. Please do not post to the links post when you make a new location.

Apparently to a zombie apocalypse XD (why is it never a sexy vampire apocalypse hm?)

So uh yeah, I'm back from my slow-posting/hiatus. Kind of brain dead now and still in a sugar coma, but here! If characters had any plans for nightshift with my characters could people lemme know what's happening since it might take me a short while to catch up ^^;

-Zalia (Ed, Yohji, Kenren, Matsumoto, Argilla, Allelujah, Ronixis, Tsukasa)

There are a few points which have come up during all of the question answering which I think should be announced to the whole comm, so:

- If you didn't play your character in Doyleton at all but want them out this nightshift, you can either a) retcon that they came on the bus and are therefore in town even though you didn't thread with them at all or b) have them wake up at the institute. Yes, there can be institute posts made as well for the few characters who are there. Zombies will be outside the building but will probably slowly make their way inside as the night goes on.

- That being said, in the end we have decided that there can be nightshift character introductions. (I know we haven't gotten through all that many apps yet, but we should be sending out more emails as the night goes on.) They will have to wake up in a random room and go from there. It's perfectly fine to wait until morning too, of course!

- If your character gets infected, the zombies will actually bother them less and less the more infected they get. One good thing to come out of it (sorta!).

So, in the interest of being able to throw people in to the ZombieShift, can we figure out what's going to happen in backthreads?

Javits, I know you're off at Otakon, but did we want to somehow wrap up the fight? Or escalate it somehow? ^^;; Did we want to assume they went their separate ways, and are thus now alone for the beginning of the zombies?

Souji and Emi, I've been really slow, but did we want to assume for now, as we backthread, that Arty and Keman discuss and coordinate magic-y tiems? Also, what's Keman's Commune sound like? I couldn't find it in his post... Also, did you want Keman with Arty and Haku when NS starts? Souji, I'm assuming they're together for obvious reasons. XDDD

Tia, I'm assuming that Touya and Yue start off together, right?

Rini, Sousuke will obviously want to get Miku someplace safe before he disappears, but perhaps we could work something with them being separated in the crowd...?

Hokay, I've been wrestling with this for a bit now, and I'm going to go ahead and drop Jaime Reyes. I love him to bits, but he needs more attention than I've been able to give him, and really should have managed to do a bit more than he has so far. I'd really like for him to go down protecting some others, and this Nightshift seems pretty awesome for that, so if anyone would like to have a superhero die violently saving them?

I leave for a little bit and Damned completely goes to hell. This time literally! I can't leave it alone for one little bit, can I?!

But anyway, I am back now and... apparently have zombies to have my characters dealing with. Fun times. Away I go then, I guess...

Sorry for the small amount of posting this weekend, I've had some access problems here that should be cleared up soon.  I don't know how many Cake Club members have already made plans and with the surprise ns stuff, I don't know if he'd have gotten a post up in time?  If that sounds ok.  Um.  And if anyone needs backthreads, please let me know?  I know some of 'em fell behind but if we need to finish up or summarize so we're on the same page, please let me know!

Okay, so. HK and Lockdown are currently in the Hardware Store, and that means they should end up facing the town NPCs there.

...Only, no one ever fielded an NPC for the store during the day. So we don't quite know who to ask for this. Are there any NPC mods willing to send some zombies at us?

Tentatively taking Spidey off of slow posting, because school is letting up a bit and...well, zombies. ZOMBIESZOMBIESZOMBIES.

Since this is the entire point of the Search and Rescue club, I'm putting up this lounge post for the coordination of those that might want to or need their characters to get rescued sometime during the night.

The Search and Rescue club will be securing the Sheriff's office to serve as a rallying point/safe house, and also have people running around outside trying to save people and get them to go to the Sheriff's office.

If you'd like to have your character rescued by Search and Rescue club please post here with where and when and we'll do our best to save everyone. There are only two teams at the moment but that may change as the night progresses, I'll keep everything updated here.

This will also serve as a general coordination post for Search and Rescue members.

Of a sort. A 50% hiatus if you will.

While I flail and panic over class and testing and such, I'm putting the boys without plans on a hiatus for NS.

This means Matt/Daredevil and Takaya are taking a break. However, should anyone WANT them for something, let me know here and I will be happy to toss them your way.

Bridget and Haku are still in play. ^^

Hope this makes sense. I haven't been awake for very long

I told a few people ahead of time while we were waiting for NS. I am sad to say that I'm going to drop Armand St. Just. Some parts of playing him here have just become too difficult and energy consuming. For once, though, I am not letting my character just disappear. Some of his friends have requested a kind of closure, so I'm going to get hm killed. Doyleton at night is a great opportunity, though I wasn't expecting zombies.

I will be recycling the journal, so I'd like to publicly thank again whoever made the gift icons. They will now exist outside of damned , but I've been careful not to use them outside this journal. Thank you for such pretty icons for my boy.

I'll put something in the character plotting post, because there may be someone who wants to help him die or others who want to be nearby.

Juri is staying put for now (and has no plans other than, uh, running from zombies).

ETA: The concept of friendly fire (if any of the characters who get guns want to accidentally shoot Armand or volunteer for a stray bullet to go his way) has been brought up. I can't edit the plotting post itself, but I'd like to attract attention to this possibility.

So, with the (not-so-)surprise event this nightshift, I imagine that a lot of you had plans that were messed up and so on... and you probably need something for your character to do. I do think that this event kind of lends itself to just sort of going with the flow and having your characters interact with whoever is close-by (I encourge lots of thread-crashing!), but I realize that some of you probably want to plan and plot and do devious things, so...!

This is the official Lounge post for players who want to plan out specific Nightshift threads ahead of time in order to foster desired kinds of interaction and character development. Allow us to stress that SCHEDULING THREADS IS COMPLETELY OPTIONAL, and while there is no limit on the amount of threads you can schedule, we strongly encourage you to make only the most important ones exclusively reserved and to keep your threads open as much as possible.

Please use the following template when commenting. We suggest bolding important points so that people who are scanning the post can get a quick idea of what you're looking for. You might also want to use the usernames of the characters whose attention you want so that people can easily ctrl+F to find things relevant to their interests.
