Dayshift 31: Game Room (Fourth Shift)

[info]uruz_vii
"Games are a perfect way to meet new friends, Akihiro!" Sousuke's nurse gushed after dragging him away from Hinasaki and into the Game Room. He didn't quite understand her fascination with making him do these ridiculous activities that seemingly had no point, but for now he'd follow her lead. He didn't want to be sedated again, not when he had a job to do.

But Miku had told him she was going to nap, so he didn't worry about it too much. Plus, if he heard a ruckus, he could always be in the Sun Room in the blink of an eye. His nurse sat him down on one of the couches and gave him a deck of cards.

"Find someone to play with," She encouraged. Then left after giving him a sweet smile. Sousuke stared at the cards, as though not sure what to make of them.

Day 30: Cafeteria, Dinner

[info]captain_hunam
The cafeteria was all but empty when Zelnick got there. He was a little disappointed; he had gotten the impression that patients usually ate dinner in their rooms, so he hadn't arranged to meet anyone, and there really wasn't anyone to sit by and engage in conversation yet.

Quietly, he collected dinner and a big glass of orange juice, and chose a seat near the food-serving counters. Talking for so long had made him thirsty... and, well, fruit juice was a luxury he had missed.

Day 29: Cafeteria (2nd Shift)

[info]fly_petrelli
Nathan had never actually been in a nuthouse before and had only recently contemplated checking himself into one in a fit of sarcastic, self-depricating humor as of late. It was safe to say that he wasn't terribly familiar with the typical layout, even though he guessed it wasn't too hard to assume in this case. Everything was clean and painfully sterile-looking, if you could tell just by looking anyway, and he had to admit that they did a decent job of dressing this place up like a stereotypical, mental institution. They'd probably wait until evening to run whatever tests they wanted after they'd drugged everyone up nice and good.

The former congressman parted ways with his nurse, offering her a fairly sarcastic "thanks" as she let him loose in the expansive cafeteria. The food choices seemed pretty basic: hamburgers, hot dogs, pizza... The sort of thing he'd been living off of for the past, couple of months. Nathan hadn't realized how hungry he was until he actually picked up a plate. Skeptical as he was of the food here, it probably didn't matter whether it was drugged or not; if he was where he naturally assumed he was, they'd have their way no matter what he did. The only thing not eating would accomplish would be to make things easier for them.

With a hamburger and some fries piled on his plate, Nathan scanned the large room for any familiar faces. If he'd been nabbed in his sleep, there was at least a small chance that they might've nabbed Parkman or one of the others too. Unfortunately, he seemed to have chosen the wrong place to get information. It was practically empty.

Great. It looked like he'd be keeping himself company for the time being. Always a fun person to pass the time with. Sitting down at an empty table, Nathan took a moment to stare his hamburger down before taking a hesitant bite.

Day 29: Sun Room

[info]notachick
Finally.

Brunch was over, he had eaten his fill, and now he was free from all the others so he could have his moments alone. Okita had never realized how much he missed being alone until he was constantly surrounded by the swimming throng of the Landel's Institute. Having long ago promised himself not to show his weaknesses to any living creature, he'd been bottling everything since the moment he'd arrived.

Now, at last, with no one else in the Sun Room, he could lie down and think. Taking one of the couches furthest from the doors, he positioned himself so as to not aggravate his wounds and stared up at the ceiling. Hijikata was certainly gone. Okita's discussion with Homura earlier had done nothing but show that his doubt was in itself a dishonour to his vice commander. Hijikata had his duty to their cause first and foremost and whatever Okita felt was inconsequential next to that. It was his job to continue searching for information on the Bakumatsu while he was here. That was what he could do. Find information to use against the Choushu and escape with it.

Sighing slightly, he grit his teeth against the pain in his chest and closed his eyes. He wasn't going to nap, but it was easier to keep people away when he seemed like he was sleeping.

Nightshift 28: M35 (Clinic)

[info]the_clown_king
(From here)

Tamaki kicked open the door to his room, exhausted and sweating and aching. He dropped Shana on his bed, grabbing his little sign out of his desk and sticking it to his door. There. The clinic was open, and he suspected they'd see a great deal of activity tonight.

Now it was time to get to work!

"We're safe in here," he said, pulling out his medical supplies. Antiseptic wipes, gauze, bandages... did she need those little suture things? Well, he grabbed a package of them anyway.

"Do you want something for the pain?"

It was about that time that Tamaki realized he was alone in his bedroom with a pretty girl. Who was on his bed. Oh dear.

Nightshift 28: Main Hallway, 1-Center

[info]broken_exorcist
[[From here]]

Allen struggled to keep Sanji from falling over as they walked further into the institute. The halls were so dark without the portable lanterns, it was difficult to see much going on in front of them. He didn't like it, but there wasn't much he could do about it for the time being.

"Whatever is close I guess," Allen replied to Sanji's question. He hadn't thought much further than that. As long as there was a place where the other could rest until the effect of the drugs was gone, it didn't really matter where, did it?  "Unless you want to go to yours?  Mine is much further up the hall."

Nightshift 28: Lobby/Entryway of the Institute

[info]jei
[OOC: As the maps are currently down, I don't have the exact room name handy. Will edit if necessary when the maps are back up.]

[coming from here]

Farfarello was a little surprised to find the lobby empty when he came through the doors. They hadn't been the first off the buses, he knew that for certain, but no one else had made it inside? Pathetic. But also good, for Schwarz' purposes.

Leaning against a wall and keeping his senses alert for any trace of monsters, Farfarello waited for Schuldig and Crawford to catch up with him.

NIGHTSHIFT 28: BUS UNLOADING AREA

[info]hamenleai
[Dropping down from Bus 3.]

Shana dropped into the darkness from the open window above, keeping her back to the carraige as she waited for her eyes to adjust to the pitch blackness surrounding her. It must have been a cloudy night, for she could make out no stars or moon above. Eerie sounds filled the night and she shivered, not liking the sound of it, nor the fact that she was out here alone with no idea of what could be lurking in the shadows.

Shadow was still trapped in the bus somewhere above and behind her, and she had no idea where Valyn and Keman were. Focusing her magic, she tried to reach out and feel for them, wondering if they'd felt her cast her magelight spell, wondering if they'd cast anything in return for her to find them. She had no desire to spend the night separated from them, especially since she hadn't been here long enough to know her way about the place, let alone the extent of dangers it could hold

Day 28: Mystic Spa

[info]byakushi
[from here]

Byakuya entered the spa in a somewhat less grand manner than normal; he felt deflated, due to the unpleasant business that had been occurring all day. But, then again, that was why he was here, was it not? To release some of that stress. He wouldn't be able to function, otherwise... and the next - or, rather, the FIRST - task he'd set out for himself was crucial. He needed to have a lucid, logical discussion with Renji. The boy had to be made to understand a few things... and that would not be possible if he was in a state where he would snap at the slightest misstep. Granted... that was his normal state. That fact notwithstanding, a bit of relaxation would likely make him more... agreeable.

He approached the counter, and addressed the person standing behind it: "I wish to inquire as to the exact nature of the services you provide."

Day 28: Germaine Street

[info]sugarsweetblood
Rhode didn't want to have to let go of Allen, not ever. It could be forever before she was able to be with him again! But the nurses were persistent in moving her off the big yellow thing, as was Allen for getting away from her. Even outside of the building, people were just determined to keep her from being with him! It wasn't fair!

Once off the bus and shivering just slightly from the crisp fall air, Rhode was handed a small booklet of what the nurse called "coupons". It took some explaining, but Rhode was eventually able to understand that the thin pieces of paper in the book were supposed to be used like money here. She wasn't at all accustomed to buying things for herself; that was supposed to be the Earl's job. When Rhode expressed this problem, the nurse only gave her a sad smile and patter her in the direction of the buildings.

"Why don't you go find something fun to do? There's a toy store just around the corner there. Don't worry about being alone though, we're all here to keep an eye on you. If anything happens, just come get one of us," the nurse explained, nodding to the staff members that were set to parole the town for any problems their more unruly patents could cause.

So, they were all going to be watched even though they could roam about freely? Rhode took a look back towards the yellow things but was unable to pick out Allen from the mess of patients. In a few moments, she probably wouldn't be able to find him at all or for the rest of the day. Should she just resign herself to that for now and use the small bit of freedom to her advantage? Being with Allen was important, and a lot of fun but...

She glanced down at the coupons again, smiled up at the nurse as best she could, and gave a quick, "Okay!" before running off as suggested.

A small bit of freedom was bound to make her feel better. Maybe she could use it to remind herself of how she was supposed to handle Allen Walker, an exorcist. This town did have a similar air to that of the Rewinding Town, after all.

Day 28: Magnus Park

[info]notachick
When the bus had lurched to life, Okita was barely able to contain his scream of terror. He was lucky no one was sitting next to him or he would have died of embarrassment at his actions. Never having seen or even been in a modern transportation vehicle, he spent most of the trip curled up in his seat, gripping it like it was his only lifeline. The bus terrified him - the sounds it made and the way it jolted along the road. When it had become apparent that it wasn't going to explode, though, he'd relaxed enough to realize that unlike riding a horse, this metal monstrosity made him motion sick.

As soon as the thing stopped, Okita was off it, looking a little green. He remembered to take his sack breakfast and the coupon book, though, and quickly fled the area to find the closest place to hide. It ended up being a beautiful park with carefully sculpted lawns and what looked like play equipment. The fresh air did him some good and he quickly moved to the swings, setting the brown bag in his lap as he lazily moved to and fro on them.

He still had a lot to think about, he'd been able to supress most of his worst homocidal urges on the bus. Hijikata couldn't just disappear like that. Perhaps he'd been rescued earlier and would be somewhere in town today. All Okita had to do was get up the courage and start moving - no matter how difficult that seemed to be.

Nightshift 27: M31-40 Hallway

[info]no_side_effects
Wesker was out of his room as soon as the door unlocked. While the man who had agreed to escort him to the lab said he had business to do first, Wesker wanted to be at M22 before William or Krauser had a chance to arrive.

He took both his knives, and the exacto knife was once again hidden in the coat he wore. It was always good to have something in reserve just in case.

Thankfully his trip would be a short one, just the next hall over.

Nightshift 26: M51-60 hallway

[info]killing_suzie
Another evening, another extremely quiet dinner. Jack wasn't sure what was up with his roommate, but he kind of missed having a little light conversation over his meal. Especially when it was a meal as good as steak.

After a moment of consideration, he decided not to bring his second knife with him. He certainly wasn't going to trust Luxord - the man was crazy as a loon, if hot - and while it wouldn't bother him that much if he got gutted with one of his own knives, he'd rather not lose the weapon when he already had his other knife on loan. And considering he'd slept with people before to get a chance to steal their stuff, he certainly wasn't going to put it past anyone else. The skillet, though, he did take. Most people would consider it a humiliating enough weapon that they wouldn't want it, which was stupid, but it was something to work with. It also was a lot harder to go for something that big without anyone noticing. He grabbed his flashlight, and his radio. The apron was left behind tonight as well.

There was an extra cheerful bounce to his step as he headed out. Either way, this was going to be a fun night. Hopefully Gin would have some fun without him, as well.

Nightshift 26: Hallway Outside M1 - M40 Blocks

[info]secret_orchard
This corridor looked almost the same. Still quiet, though now he noticed more people about. At least that meant he hadn't run into any monsters. He ran along the hall until he saw the door that had caused him and Dr. Birkin so much trouble. From the day now, he knew that at the end of this hall was almost a lobby with the hall to the Sun Room and Cafeteria to the left. He didn't want to go there, so this was the end of the blocks. Right? No bathroom. He must have missed something.

Armand backtracked until he found another door that opened easily.

Nightshift 26: Hallway Outside M41-M80 Block

[info]secret_orchard
[from here]

Armand spared a glance back over his shoulder at the hallway outside the bathrooms at the end of his own block but didn't see anyone so he pushed open the door (to his left instead he realized) into the larger corridor he remembered well from last night. There was a door immediately to his right. So far everything was still quiet. That made him nervous. He wanted to find Javert as soon as he could.

Nightshift 26: M11-20 Hallway

[info]face_of_chaos
Yuber had gotten the items from Cloud previously, before the shorter blonde had disappeared back in the hallways. Where ever they had gone was of no matter to the knight considering he had received what he needed, and if he was trusted enough with these potential weapons Yuber wasn't certain if he should consider this Cloud to be a fool yet or not. Yet again that would depend on just how inventive Usopp could be with what was provided. It would be interesting to say the least.

Toying with the few long blades in his possession, Yuber remained casually sprawled out on his mattress as the radio clicked off after the doctor’s announcement. If he had heard it correctly, Yuber summarised that the locations given were of some form of interest, and it left the knight wondering just what way this interest fell.

Was if towards Chaos or more towards Order?

The fact that it was now the night time lead him to believe that it was more the former than the latter, and with an amused smile pulling at his lips, Yuber elegantly pushed himself up from the bed. He stretched out his muscles before turning his attention down to his pillow, and after withdrawing the flashlight from beneath it Yuber set out with one destination in mind.

He needed to meet back up with Usopp.

Day 26: Sun Room (4th Shift)

[info]stray_shinigami
Some day, he really did intend to go to the game room, just to see what they had in the way of games. But not today. He was simply not in the mood to do anything approaching fun, and he was starting to feel like shit from a combination of being sedated and not having eaten anything yet all day.

The nurses bought it when he did a little exagerated stumbling around, and let him slink off to a corner of the Sun Room. He figured he'd lay down and pretend to be asleep, and maybe he'd be lucky enough that everyone would leave him the hell alone. He even found a couch with its back to the door so he wouldn't be immediately visible and laid down on it. His feet hung over one of the arms, but it wasn't as obvious as his hair being visible.

He had a lot to think about. Like trying to understand why he both did and didn't want to see Rukia. And the things the mysterious person on the bulletin board had said. Thinking about it made his hands shake and made him feel sick. It made it nearly impossible to try to tell himself that nothing had happened, now.

Renji closed his eyes tightly and wished that he really could sleep.

DAY 26: Men's Showers (Second Shift)

[info]canieathim
Gluttony didn't want to leave his Lust, not after he'd just found her!  But the mean tasty nurses said he had to.  "You can't join her in the women's showers" was a bad excuse.  He didn't like the mean tasty nurses.  Maybe Lust would let him eat them later.  Still, he knew he would see his Lust again, and that was good.  He liked Lust.  She was good and beautiful and smart and kind.  Why did they have to take him away from his Lust?

Still, he would see her again.  And she would tell him it was okay to eat the tasty nurses, and that would be good.  His new friend liked eating people, too.  That made him happy to find a friend who shared a love for eating people.  Today was a very good day.

As he entered the showers, he stood under a shower head and opened his mouth wide to drink up the water.  It wasn't as good as eating people, or eating waffles that didn't scream when he bit into them so weren't nearly as good as eating people, but it was still swallowing something, and that made him feel better.

Day 26: Breakfast

[info]tsunagari
Sai awoke rather groggily, which wasn't a good sign for a ninja. It meant he was probably ill. He'd need to get checked up with a medic-nin before he did very much more that day. Eyes blinked open slowly to stare at the ceiling and then narrowed in confusion. Not his ceiling. Was he already at the hospital?

"Mr. Pastello... wake up, hon."

Turning his head to the side revealed a vaguely familiar woman in a white uniform. A nurse? ...Oh yes. His nurse. Landels. He sat up at her direction, feeling mildly dizzy as he did so, and glanced down at his arms as he folded them in his lap. They were covered in clean bandages, no longer bleeding. The dizziness told him he was still suffering a bit from the blood loss, however.

When had he passed out? The last few events of the night hadn't been very clear. He didn't know what had happened to the two pirates and, looking around, the mess of blood they had left seemed to have been completely cleaned up. It was amazing, really. He smiled at his nurse, too weary to do much else but let her lead him to breakfast at the moment.

She helped him to his feet, where the light-headedness was even more apparent. It didn't seem to be anything he couldn't put up with, though. The nurse seemed to know a bit about what he suffered from, but made no mention of it aside from telling him to avoid lifting heavy objects and to drink lots of fluids as they made their way to the cafeteria. The subject of blood-sucking leeches never arose, and he figured if it had she'd surely feign ignorance.

It wasn't until they got there that he realized just how absolutely starving he was. He'd had what, corn for dinner? The smells were simply enticing, even though he had no idea what waffles were supposed to be. He was sure anything edible at this point would be fine, and made his way out of his nurse's grip and to the line with more speed then he'd probably ever gone after food at.

Nightshift 25: 2nd Floor Kitchen

[info]traitors_smile
[[from here]]

So far, so good.  Gin followed as they made their way through the food counter and on to the kitchen.  It'd become almost routine and Gin tensed as Jack broke the lock on the kitchen's door.  He wondered why they bothered to keep it locked up in the first place when it was so simple to get through.  Perhaps the noise alone was enough reason.

He waited for a moment as Jack edged into the room, watching the way they'd come, just in case that noise had brought them some unwanted attention.  Once Jack cleared it, he followed quickly into the kitchen.
