Nightshift 31: Doctor Wilson's Office (Doctor's Office # 6)

Still the same kind of room, just different decor. Zoro was starting to get the idea that this wasn't the way to the basement.

"Oh, hey." Walking around the desk, he spotted the mini fridge and bent down to get a look inside. Hopefully there was something good. He still had that drink from the fake Kuina/Karen/whateverhernamewas but was otherwise starting to get sick of apple juice.

The Amazon watched the pirate cross the room and open the fridge. He adjusted his glasses, just to be certain that he was seeing the right thing and dropped his jaw.

"What are you doing?!" He cried. "You can't go through someone else's fridge!" There was something wrong about that, he told himself, and he knew it. Even if they were being held against their will by some of the staff, surely the doctors didn't deserve this.

"Eh?" Zoro turned around a little, looking at Mousse curiously if not warily. Breaking and entering didn't seem to bother the other so Zoro wasn't sure what the problem was if he took a few things too. He was a pirate after all, and it wasn't like it was going to hurt anyone.

Of course, Mousse probably didn't know that but Zoro wasn't going to expound on his reasons for doing things. "Why not?"

"It's not exactly filled with weapons or anything that can help us, is it?" Mouse replied, exasperated. "It doesn't seem very honorable to steal from someone because you can."

If it was a fridge full of blades, the Amazon would have felt differently. Food wasn't a good enough prize in Mousse's eyes, as they were fed every day and weren't dying of starvation.

"Aaa." Zoro understood now. He grinned, amused, and turned back to rummaging through the mini refrigerator. Damn. It really didn't look like there was anything good. "Don't worry about that too much."

Mousse folded his arm under his sling and 'hmph'-ed. While it had nothing to do with his pride or status as a martial artist, Mousse still didn't like it. Sure, he had done plenty of underhanded things himself and sure, so had about everyone else in his village, but stealing for no reason was outside of his moral code.

Although if Zoro found something especially tasty...

"What's in there?" He inquired, peeking over at the pirate with slight curiousity.

"Just food and some water." Left-over food. And the water was packaged strangely too. Zoro frowned before looking at the curious martial artist. "You want anything?"

If the Amazon could still change forms, he might have requested the water, which was undoubtedly cold. The way things stood, he could do very little with it and mentioning his previous curse to Zoro would just make him look crazy.

It was strange to MISS the duck.

"No," he said simply. "I suppose we should keep looking for an exit."

Zoro closed the fridge with a snap, stood, and made his way out. His search for the basement was turning up nothing and he vaguely wondered if he should mention to Mousse that he wasn't really looking for an exit...
