Being out the moment he knew he could had it's advantages. There were no others out to possibly get in his way or deter him. As he came to the next area, his thoughts did go to Zabuza for a moment, thinking that if the conversation at Lunch had been any indication, then he would be much more capable this evening. Kurogane wasn't about to stick around and wait for him again just to check though. He had a more important person to deal with.

Right, important... maybe this time he wouldn't say something that stupid aloud again.

Jade was almost tempted to check on his Majesty and whatever mischief he managed to get himself into. However, time restraints were what prevented him from doing so in the end. He was sure Guy would make sure to play the respectable role of humble servant and inform him if something was amiss anyway.

The Colonel casually strolled out of his designated hallway, making a beeline for the set of doors that led out of the block altogether.

It was still early in the day for him, explaining why there were so few others moving yet. For all this sleep deprivation, Aidou promised himself that tomorrow he would sleep through the whole night (dayshift, diurnal terms), or at least spend a good portion of it napping.

Tonight, Aidou was carrying around an extra item, which was only being a bother: his flashlight, tucked awkwardly in a pocket. It was off and essentially useless to him when it came to its primary use, but it seemed it would be better to have it on him to keep up the farce. If necessary. It wasn't as though many people could spot him, anyway--he was too quick and quiet for eyes adjusted to the light of day.

Maybe he was just on edge. That would explain it. And who could blame him? He was taking this shit a hell of a lot better than even he could expect--and Reid didn't mean the whole 'waking up in a monster-infested fun house' bit either. Mostly, it was everything that was happening during the day that had Reid more messed up than anything, and that was apparently supposed to be the 'safe' time of the day.

That dark-haired, pointy-eared asshole, that was the brunt of it. And just the fact that anyone who said anything about him and his friends could piss him off so much... just pissed him off more.

Muttering a curse, Reid swung his flashlight around the near empty corridor, and kept trudging along.

Night again, and time to make that heavy decision between safety and freedom. Of course, knowing that his Captain was waiting for him didn't make it as difficult as usual.

ZEX took his flashlight and the knife the human had given him, hoping he was holding it correctly. He felt better with a weapon, although there was that vague fear that he wouldn't know how to use it, if it came to that. Focus, ZEX.

The human was in room M39... ZEX could remember that clearly. He set out on his way.

It didn't take long to move from one hall to the next. He didn't even need his flashlight, although the item was on his person, stuffed into the makeshift bag at his side. He'd likely pass the pillowcase off to one of the boys later while he took the lead for their supply run, but for now it swung lazily against his legs as he trotted along. He had told the boys to meet him in the main hall, so he hoped they knew which one he'd meant.

When Guy found the next hallway to be completely empty, he regretted having waited so long for Peony. On the other hand, he and the emperor had made it something of a routine to check in with each other at the beginning of every night, so it wouldn't have been right for him to run off without being sure that the other man was all right.

It felt strange to be walking around without some sort of weapon on him, but that would be getting fixed soon enough. Maybe he would look over his maps and see if they listed that area that had been mentioned over the intercom once he got to Claude's.

Hurrying his pace, he moved down two halls before turning into the correct one.
