Student Presentations
Student Presentations can be so boring depending on the subject. What have you seen your peers do in the past that you liked?



I ask this because I have Sports History presentation and the professor wants the class to evaluate everyone and turn it in to him. I really want to interact with the class besides doing a powerpoint with pictures. But there's not too much I can do to make the History of the Chicago Cubs not seem like a lecture.

I like to use videos from youtube. Maybe you could find a clip of a historic game. Or if the presentation is supposed to be on the longer side and you want class involvement, you could make play a trivia game with a baseball twist. Two teams, the team thats up to bat gets on base by answering a question, if they get it wrong they get an out, if they're are multiple answers to a question and they only get 2 out of 3 the other team can get them out by giving the third answer.

If it was me, I would do the lecture but talk about every bad thing the players did like affairs or illegal activities, put in pictures of the players missing a catch or striking out. I had to do a lecture on Europe and ended up doing it on all the best places to get drunk like Octoberfest, etc. I always find loopholes in assignments.

I've done so many presentations...I turned one of them into a game show and it was probably the funnest most interactive one I ever did. I even forked out a good 5 bucks of my own money for some prizes. Everybody loved it....The subject...Airlines.....now if i can do one with a boring subject like airlines you can sure as heck come up with something fun with long history of the cubs!
Use video's, pictures, draw, and just keep people interested..before you know it it's over and you have an A.
