I've been meaning to make a new post for the Asian media/music icontest + challenge banners I've won over the years, so here it will be! For now it's a WIP, but I wanted to have something to link to, at least. XD

(In other news, I am now behind on my icon NaNo, as predicted. Whups.)

Ahead of schedule so far! I probably just jinxed myself. XD I guess I am going for vague themes with these... just in terms of, ah, medium, perhaps? I haven't iconed comics in a long time, so it was sorta strange to do it again. Bet Vega is a surprise... I have a trading card of him from when I was younger, and those little cards influenced me a lot (well, it's where my comic book love stems from!). And I apparently have a weakness for kick-ass guys with long hair in comic/games. Though I suppose people who actually play Street Fighter can debate the kick-ass-ness. /rambling

Non-National Icon-Making Month, that is!

I know I don't have the brainspace or creative juices to even attempt NaNoWriMo this year, but quite a few of my friends seem to be going for it, and I wanted to be part of the stress fun, so I will be doing an icon version!

What: My goal for the month is (just) 100 icons. As watchers of this comm can probably tell, I am a very slow icon-maker these days (>.>), so for me, 100 icons is A LOT. I thought about going for 50, but I felt like this should be a bigger challenge (kinda like writing 50,000 words is a big challenge XD). Icons for jmusic50 may or may not count for this as well (probably won't).

Who: My plan is to do icons in sets of five, and cover a variety of subjects. Granted, they will mostly be different musical groups, but I may mix things up and throw random other fandoms and categories in there.

Where: Er, here! I haven't decided if I will make a big table for everything, but there will at least be a masterlist here with links to whatever posts I make during the month.

When: All month, baby!

I decided to try another icon challenge after miserably failing the D one I attempted... a long, long time ago! This time, I'm trying a J-pop group instead, and since I'm in a V6 void, I picked their PV for their new single, GUILTY. I already sort of feel like I should try a J-rock one to balance out the pop. XD As of September 20, there are no icons yet, just the table.

For the contest, I had the community name on the strip of tape in the middle, and I'll save the .psd for a little while in case anyone wants different text there instead.

It's a nice way to get specific, positive feedback on your work, but right now, we really could use some more people particpating! ...especially because it took so much time for me to get that place up and running again. :P
