Good win tonight. I am not going to take too much time about the game because it was against the lowly Skins, however any win is a good win.

I will say Tony Romo again carried the team on his shoulders when he had to. I have found over the past month or two that he has established himself as the true leader on this team and the quaterback that the Cowboys need. I liked seeing him give it to Austin at the end of the half when he didn't get out of bounds. That's the sign of a true leader. Not only getting it done at your respective position, but correcting the guys around you when they make mistakes.

Keith Brooking had another stellar night. He was a great siging this year and has taken command of the defence. I won't give him all the credit though, because Ware and Spencer stepped up as always. I will say i was not only surprised with the play of the defensive backfield, but also impressed. Got the job done when they had to.

I think the Boys are starting to peak at the right time, and will be a tough scary opponent come playoff time for whoever they face. I know there is still Philly to take care of next week, but I am not expecting much. I feel that they may rest some players in order to keep healthy for the playoffs but who knows.

I'll tell you, I liked what I saw tonight, and man it feels good to be heading back to the playoffs. I am so full of hope for this team and it just makes my football watching experience so much more exciting.

One question I do have is, does anyone know if they cut Nick Folk, or did they just add Suisham as a 3rd kicker on the roster??

Anyways, for everyone out there who is as excited as me....HOW BOUT THEM COWBOYS.....I couldn't have asked for a better Christmas present. Have a safe and Happy New Year everyone and see you all next week in 2010 against the Eagles.....

Just a couple of things about last night:

    Positives:

Tony Romo. Once again he played an outstanding game. Made the plays with his feet when necessary and was lights out with his arm. I think last night he proved that he is the franchise and true leader on the team, and because of him they pulled out a huge win.

Felix Jones. Clearly was the best back of the night with props to Marion Barber for some good runs in key moments.

Demarcus Ware. If he doesn't play then we would have had hardly any defence. What a great game from a great player.

Anthony Spencer. Big game. Made key sacks when they needed him to come up big. IF he and demarcus don't play we lose because our defence sucks.

Keith Brooking. He has quietly been solid through every game this year.

Honourable mention Jason Witten, Miles Austin, Patrick Crayton, Mike Jenkins, John Phillips

Now last night they won a good one against a team that had been lights out up until now, but there were negatives on the night. I'll just point them out for everyone to see what needs to be worked on.

Roy Williams. Had an ok game, but the drop over the middle was key and could have cost us the game. The ball was right in his hands but since he is afraid of the hits over the middle then he dropped it. I won't harp on it too much because he did make a few good plays as well.

Flozell Adams. Time is up buddy. Too many missed blocks tonight. I don't think he can play anymore and I think his time has run it's course.

Bobby Carpenter. I can't for the life of me understand why he is on the field. He is slow and f's up pretty much every play. I wish they would bench him.

Nick Folk. I've said it before but how many kicks are they going to allow him to miss. That missed field goal could have cost us the game. I know it didn't, but thats only because the defence came up huge. Once again a miss in a key situation. Prediction, not only do we see him on the field next week, but I bet we'll see him miss a key kick.

Anyways, enough about that. A little anticdote before I leave. I was watching the game with members of my family who were all Cowboys fans. Before the game they were all chirping about how the Cowboys couldn't or wouldn't win this game, however I was shutting them down with facts about how they need and will win. I believed they could do it, and they did. I guess what I am saying is, on some days, like when we were children, it just feels good to believe in the unknown. Some days, just make you realize how great it is to be a fan of the Dallas Cowboys. How great it is to live and die with this team every year for the past 25 years since i was 3 years old. Well friends that day for me was yesterday and into today. HOW BOUT THEM COWBOYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just a couple of tidbits about today's disappointing game. Don't want to spend too much time on it because we are probably all feeling the same. Anyways, here they are:

    1) One would think that when you run the exact same play 2 or three times on the goalline and it doesn't work, you would vary it up a bit to try to punch it in. Unfortunately our inept playcallers can't quite figure that out and it was huge and cost us the game. Oh well this loss puts us one step closer to no more wade Phillips and Jason Garrett. I can't wait. Thats what I am asking for for Christmas if nothing else.

    2) How many field goals are they going to allow Folk to miss before they replace him. I am tired of it. He has missed a key field goal which could have made a difference in almost every game. Every time they parade him out there I am forced to give up on the game because the miss costs the boys momentum and possible wins as it did today. That miss was a huge factor in the game.

    3) I think the game turned around on the first drive when they didn't punch it in for a td. They had all momentum and had San Diego's D guessing the whole drive down the field and to only come out with 3 pts was a huge win and confidence builder for the Chargers early in the game.

    4) I feel as though there are no consequences for big mistakes on this team. No one gets benched or repremanded for their actions on the field and the penalties and ineptness on both sides of the ball are just free to flow with no blasting from the coaches on the sidelines. There is no fear from the players of losing their starting roles on this team and I think it leands itself to a lot of lackluster performances every week and I am sick of it. Sick of these coaches and poor play by the players. Terrance Newman, Nick Folk, a few others are playing like they just don't give a crap. Newman can't tackle and can't eveen cover a tight end. What good is he. Makes me wonder what the team works on all week. Probably nothing and it shows.

    5) Roy Williams has stepped it up a notch the past 3 games and I am impressed. I feel that over the past 3 weeks he has responded and shut up his critics and I am impressed so props to him.

    6) Finally, everyone wants to talk about how Romo can't win in December, but I feel as I did last week that this loss can't be pinned on him. I thought he played another excellent game today. When you drive 99 yards and score a td, the Defence has to make a stop on the next posession and they failed miserably. This loss falls squarly on Nick Folk for one, Jason Garrett and his crappy playcalling around the goalline (which has been a season long debacle), and Nick Folk again for missing another key field goal again. That again falls on coaching because one would think that this late in the season the coach would have made a change after the kicking game has been so piss poor up to this point.

I feel that year 4 of 0 for December is on the horizion and I for one am sick of it. The only positive I can see is this brings us one step closer to an inevitable coaching change, and after next week when the Cowboys lose and are pretty well eliminated I would hope that Jerry cares enough then to pull the trigger. Something he should have doner this past off season, but failed the team as a GM yet again to execute, which has led us to another year of anguish and heartbreak.

I will say it was a good run in first while it lasted but the dream is once again squashed.....

Week 13: We Are In For A Long Winter

You Have NOTHING To Be Ashamed Of.

Let all of the December trash talk begin. However, no one can put this loss on Tony Romo. He looked good yesterday and that gives me hope for the rest of the month. This is going to be a long four weeks if the Boys get theirselves down on this loss. The Chargers, Saints, Redskins, and Eagles are pretty good/decent teams. The Boys need to get over this game, realize they are a half game up on the Eagles, and work on beating a good December team in the Chargers.

Usually it's Tony Romo who chokes during this month, but not yesterday. I don't know if he is turning a new leaf, or if it's because this was the Giants. Either way, I am kind of looking forward to the rest of the month with Romo at quarterback. I think he is sick of choking on games that count and being blamed for the losses in December. Tony Romo threw 41/55. Ok, maybe I am the only who feels this way, I don't know though. I know the running game couldn't get much going, but I really don't think they tried very hard either. Why is Romo throwing 55 times in a game with a THREE HEADED MONSTER? Or should I say two headed monster since Choice pretty much gets shit anymore. Jerry Jones seriously needs to just think about this. It doesn't make any sense at all. Of course I don't think he will notice that Choice isn't getting very much playing time, because his boy Felix Jones is getting some. You will win some games against teams like the Rams and Lions if there is no balance in the offense. But they are not playing teams like the Rams or the Lions this month. Jason needs to find a way to get balance in the offense and not put every game on Romo's shoulders. Tony is not that type of quarterback just yet, someday though. :) Tony did have a career day in passing yards with 392, and of course his three touchdowns, and NO TURNOVERS! These are numbers Romo usually puts up in November, which is why I have a lot of hope for him this month, and believe he is turning things around. But he does need help from the rest of the team, which I don't think is too much to ask.

I am not even going to mention anything about the running game because it was pathetic. They are all better running backs than what they showed yesterday, and it kind of makes me mad. No one can really blame the offensive line either, because I think they played a good game yesterday. Romo had all the time in the world, which means the line was pretty much controlling their front four. I'm sure there were open holes that were waiting for somebody to bust through. Like I mentioned before, Tashard Choice needs to be more involved in this offense. I don't care how healthy, or how well Marion and Felix are playing, Choice is a big weapon in the backfield that can get the job done. He did a wonderful job last year in December when both Marion and Felix were out. As my new favorite saying goes 'Choice is the RIGHT Choice'.

Jason Witten has exploded in the past two games, finally. He is the reason Tony Romo has good games. Tony is going to throw some pretty passes, and some ugly passes. Witten knows exactly how to react to those ugly passes and make something pretty out of them. I am glad Jason has finally decided to use Romo's favorite weapon on the field. Witten had 14 receptions for 156 yards. Now they just need to work on getting him in the endzone. ;) Of course Miles Austin was a big factor, but not early enough. Miles needs to be involved during the whole game. His speed is enough to wear down a secondary, let alone his breakaways. Miles had 10 receptions for 104 yards and one touchdown. How about Roy Williams? He only had 6 receptions for 60 yards, but two touchdowns? Not bad. I still say Miles should be the number one receiver and Patrick Crayton should be number two. But whatever.

Not a good defensive performance at all yesterday. Mike Jenkins is about the only guy who had a decent game. I don't just mean the one pick either, he was all over shutting down the receivers. Terence Newman and Gerald Sensebaugh made a few good plays, but that wasn't enough. They got burned in Week 2 with the Giants receivers, and you could say the same happened yesterday. This could be a problem in the future for the Boys. They have got to find a way to shut down the passing game. You never know, they could be seeing the Giants again in the play offs. If the Boys make it. :/ There was a forced fumble which is always exciting, but only one sack in the game? That's pathetic. DeMarcus (who had the only sack), Jay, Keith, Anthony, Bradie, they are all better than that. I think this week in practice should be spent on getting to the quarterback, because Phillip Rivers and of course Drew Brees will make for a very long game if you don't get to them.

I was very happy about only 5 penalties in the game. There is still room for improvement, but that is A LOT better than averaging 8-10 a game. The Boys need to focus on just the Chargers this week, don't worry about the Saints the following week. The Boys are 5-1 at home, and 6-1 would be better. The Chargers are known as a December team, and they are definitely playing good football right now. But they aren't unstoppable, and I think the Boys are capable of winning this game. Tony Romo needs to come out and play the same game he did yesterday, the running game needs to be more aggressive and wear down the defense. The receivers need to continue to play the way they have been in creating open opportunities. The defense needs to work on getting pressure on the quarterback, and stopping the running game. If they thought Brandon Jacobs was a nightmare, wait until they meet the Chargers two headed monster. There is no reason as to why the Boys can not have a winning record in December and January. They are too talented not too. :)

It's shaping up to be another December not to remember. Tough loss today for the boys. One thing I will say, this loss has nothing to do with Romo. I thought he played very well today. Props to Roy Williams on a big game as well. I feel that they lost the game on the Barber fumble which let the Giants back in the door. It's pretty disappointing, but there's always next week. I think they'll come out big against San Diego. Oh well. next week we'll see.

Week 12: Return Of The Play Makers

Jason Witten, You Never Fail To Amaze.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. The Boys never fail to make this holiday a little bit better every year. :]

Let's just get this out of the way, I know it was the Oakland Raiders; But the Raiders were coming off of a shocking win against a very good Bengals team. The Boys were coming off of a horrible win that left several guys hurting. This very easily could have been a loss, but I think the Boys got their wake up call last Sunday. Hopefully.

Tony Romo had a pretty good game today. I am glad to see him comeback after two weeks of struggle. He threw for 18/29, 309 yards, and 2 touchdowns. What's better than those stats? NO TURNOVERS! Tony Romo tore the secondary apart with the help of Miles Austin and Jason Witten. Good things happen when he doesn't force the ball into Williams hands. I understand he is the number one receiver and wants the ball more, but too bad. Until he decides to catch the ball more, Miles Austin needs to be Tony's go to guy. Today was vintage Tony Romo. He was moving around in the pocket, had complete control of the game, and kept drives alive. I just love it when he breaks away from the defense and make them look awful. It just makes my day. :]

WELCOME BACK JASON WITTEN! Jason was FINALLY a factor in a game this year. I know he is an amazing blocker, but they need to get back to throwing the ball to him. Is it just me, or does Witten seem to always play better when injured? Maybe it's just me. Witten had 5 receptions for 107 yards. It's time we get back to the old days when Jason was the go to guy when all else fails. He is too big of a play maker to not be having consecutive one hundred yard games. Good things happen when Miles Austin is getting the ball. Austin made Asomugha look like a chump. Miles caught 7 receptions for 147 yards and 1 touchdown. This offense is soo much more explosive, and unstoppable when Miles has big games. He is just too good at turning away from defenders and making a run. Oh yeah, and Roy Williams had a touchdown. Yay.

The three headed monster is starting to come back into the lineup. How about Choice? Good to see him back in the game. Only 3 carries, but he ran for 67 yards. Who else loved that break away run on the wild cat for 66 yards? Jason Garrett, this is why Choice is the right Choice. He has carried the load on his back before and did a wonderful job. Be thankful you have third running back who can do that, because not a lot of other teams do. Choice wasn't the only one breaking away and making a run for it. Felix Jones looked like him old self. He only had 68 yards, but he also had a pretty nice touchdown run. :] For some reason I felt like Marion Barber didn't really have a good game? I don't know why, because he did. He only had 61 yards rushing, but he also had 2 receptions for 41 yards. It's sad when your running back has as many receptions as your number one receiver, but more yards. But then again, he is Marion Barber.

I think this defense gets better and better every game. I just thought about this today, the most amount of points the defense has given up is 33 points. That's pretty fucking awesome. Let's face it, this offense has had their bad games and didn't help the defense at all. To only give up that much in one game this year, against (what was) a high scoring offense is pretty comforting. It kind of gives me hope for the Saints. They may not be recording as many sacks as last year, or creating turn overs as much as other teams, but they are making stops. That's what counts the most. A lot of that credit can go to Mike Jenkins and Gerald Sensebaugh in the secondary. Those two guys have been difference makers, and helped this struggling secondary. I don't know how anyone feels about Mike Jenkins, but I personally think the guy is a monster. He may be short, but he has speed and knows how to shut down a drive.

The Boys play the Giants at Giants Stadium next Sunday. I know the Giants aren't playing good football right now, but never under estimate this team. The Boys need to go into this game with a revenge from week 2. They also need to take advantage of putting the Giants away and pulling even further ahead in the NFC East. :]

    Week 11: Wake Up Call
A Win Isn't As Fun When It's Pathetic.

First off, I am going to give major props to Jason Campbell and the Redskins offense. I am probably the only NFL fan in the world who actually believes, and has a lot of respect for the kid. I seriously think he can be a good quarterback in the league if his team would just believe in him. He was without a doubt the best quarterback in Cowboys Stadium today.

Jason Garett just doesn't get it, does he? Yes we returned to the running game, but where was Choice? There is a reason it's called a three headed monster. Since Jerry Jones is fully aware that Jason does abandon the run, and does not give his boy Felix very many shots, I am hoping this is Golden Boys last year. I really don't know a lot of other teams in the league who have as many weapons as the Boys do. I would like to see an offensive coordinator come in and use his weapons including ALL 3 running backs, Sam Hurd and even Kevin Ogletree.

I honestly thought last weeks performance at Lambeau was because the Boys were at Lambeau. They have always struggled up there, and that's ok. Every team has a city, stadium, or dome that they just can't win at. But this game was clearly a wake up call. Tony Romo usually owns the month of November. Not this year. But like I said earlier, is he changing things around? Maybe November will be switched with December? If so, it frustrates me now, but we will all be excited later. But who knows if that's the case? Today was certainly a bad day for Romo. If it wasn't for the running game, the Boys would have NEVER moved down the field. Romo just couldn't complete, or throw a decent pass for his life. 15/27, 158 yards, 1 pick and 1 TD. Really? I know he took a knee to the back that clearly bothered him. But if you don't feel right, then take a seat. Jon Kitna is a decent quarterback when he has protection and weapons. He never gave up in the game and I give him props for that. The Redskins have a very stingy defense, and he was finally able to find the redzone. But all together today's performance by Tony Romo was pathetic.

This is a completely different passing game when Miles Austin is getting the ball. They are explosive, making defenders tackles look pathetic, and putting points up on the board. I think he gives the other receivers around him more confidence when he is getting the ball. He's not great at it, but Miles is pretty decent at getting open for Romo. We all know how good he can catch the ball, and gain yards after the catch. If it's just one catch a game, it's a difference. There is just something about this kid that brings the team alive. I don't think I am the only fan who feels this way when I say, GIVE THE BALL TO MILES MORE PLEASE! It's also time to get Sam Hurd and Kevin Ogletree more involved in the game. Both of these guys are capable of making good things happen when you give them the chance.

    WELCOME BACK MARION BARBER!
He kind of had a new style of running today, up the middle. Not only did he run up the middle, he was explosive with speed. Obviously being a starter it's good to see him get 20 carries. Marion ran all over the Redskins defense all day. But like I mentioned earlier, Felix and Choice need more carries as well. Both of those guys have the speed to explode up the middle and break away. But since Jason has no faith in his running backs, that never happened. Thanks again Golden Boy.

What is going on with Nick Folk? He used to be one of the top kickers in the league. He has a bad little habit of missing the first field goal. I think this is third game straight that has happened. Nick Folk is usually on key, but not lately. I wouldn't be surprised to see David Buehler kicking field goals if Nick misses one more. I don't think I spelled David's last name right? Oh well. Anyways, I hope Nick gets his act together and starts putting points on the board. It's starting to hurt the Boys.

The defense clearly played better than the offense, and thank god. They had no help from the offense and kept the Boys in the game. They did give up a few big plays, and a lot of yards. But they came up big when they needed to. Anthony Spencer is an underrated linebacker in the NFL. He doesn't have any sacks, but did record one pick on the day. ;] However, he makes a lot of big stops. He is awesome when it comes to stopping the run, and pass coverage. He has big shoes to fill in Greg Ellis, and I think he has done a decent job thus far. With the exception of sacks. Speaking of sacks, only 1 sack on the day. Really? This is an offense who has no life to them what so ever, except for today. I thought DeMarcus Ware and Jay Ratliff would have had bigger days. I was wrong.

Penalties and Turnovers SUCK. The penalties were definitely limited in this game compared to others. But six is still unacceptable. My goal for the Boys for the rest of the season is to simply play a game without one single penalty. The Boys got a lucky break in this game. Romo was throwing better balls to the Redskins defense than his own receivers. But thankfully only one was picked off. But that wasn't the momentum killer of the game. Marion Barbers fumble near the red zone really sucked. But it's comforting to know he went 10 weeks without fumbling the football. :]

Oakland Raiders beat the Bengals today. If the Boys play the way they did today, they will also lose to the Raiders. They need to get their act together and start playing football. The Giants, Chargers, Saints, Redskins, and Eagles are on the remaining schedule. It only gets harder Boys.

Week 10: Time For A Hair Cut
You Will Now Be Considered An Overrated QB,
    But Not In My Book.

I'm not mad that the Boys lost the game, because I'm not surprised. They have always had problems up in Lambeau, and that continued into today. But the team should send a Thank You card to the San Diego Chargers. At 6-3, the Boys still sit on top of the NFC East. This loss sucks because it was a conference game, but not a lot of damage done.

God help this offensive line for the rest of the season. I really hope this was just their luck up in Lambeau, and not a new thing. Marc Colombo not being in that line really hurts. The Cowboys have one of the best offensive lines in the league, but no depth. What really sucks is Marc broke his leg, which more than likely means IR. :[ Doug Free needs to step up and fill his shoes, because this schedule only gets worst.

What seems like every week, I did not get to see this game again. I really need to move out of this forsaken state. I do know that Tony Romo spent most of the game on the ground. Troy Aikman made this statement awhile ago, the Cowboys DO NOT win games when Tony Romo is not playing, or not playing good. Tony Romo cannot make a miracle happen on every play. Yeah, Tony had 3 turnovers, and it affected him. But he also put a drive together at the end to prevent a shut out. When you believe in Romo, give him time to make plays, he will make good things happen. I am defending him now before everyone starts on his shit. I know he didn't play a good game at all, but he didn't give up either. On the plus side, he did have a touchdown on the day, which was a pretty pass. :]

What the hell happened to the three headed monster? They have been missing for the past couple of games. The Boys need to get back to basics. It's going to take a lot longer to wear down a defense when you are passing all day. In fact, the offense will probably get tired before the defense will. No one will make a defense tired faster than Marion Barber, Felix Jones, and Tashard Choice. USE YOUR BACKFIELD WEAPONS JASON GARRETT!

105 yards 1 touchdown, good game Roy E Williams. :] Although, you did fumble and ruined the momentum. So therefore your day wasn't that big. Don't get me wrong, I am glad Williams and Romo are finally getting on the same page, but Romo needs to stay on page with Miles Austin, Patrick Crayton, and Jason Witten. They are the play makers of this offense. All three do a wonderful job at adjusting theirselves to some of Romo's crazy passes. But the Packers did play an awesome defensive game. They just need to get back to their playmakers next week.

DEFENSE! I personally feel they have nothing to be ashamed of. It's not like the Packers killed them on offense. 4 sacks and a forced fumble on the day isn't too bad. I honestly thought they were going to have more sacks and interceptions in this game. Mike Jenkins needs to get healthy fast. I'm not sure what's wrong with him, but hopefully it's something that won't hold him out. The same goes for Ken Hamlin.

Like I mentioned before, this loss only hurts because it was a conference game. I think they will be fine for the rest of the season. But they have got to start working on penalties. They are NOT getting any better in that area. How is Wade not frustrated with the penalties? Those boys would have to run two miles for every penalty called in a game if I was Wade. I know that's a bit extreme, but they need to learn some way.

The Boys play Washington next week, you would think it should be an easy win. But you never know, it is the Dallas Cowboys. :]

Week 9: Beast Of The East

He Doesn't Need 250 Receiving Yards.
Just One Catch Will Make A Game Difference.

Alone we stand on top of the NFC East. Who would have thought? The Giants start out 5-0, look like the best team in the league, more than likely going to run away with the division. The Boys were struggling to win a game, or to even get a sack in the game. Now, here we are in week 9 and we own the league as of this week. It feels good. :]

By no means was this the best win for the Boys. However, it is a win. They may be 6-2 and sitting on top of the NFC East, but if they want to stay on top, they need to start playing like the top team. They have got to be the most un-disciplined team in the NFL. I don't care what stats say, the penalties week in and week out are INSANE. The Eagles weren't much better, but this is constant for the Boys. On paper, the Boys are killing teams. They really should be 8-0 if you look at the stats. But they are beating theirselves with stupidity. I think they got lucky tonight because the Eagle beat theirselves as well, but not every team they play will be penalized as much as the Eagles were tonight. There were 19 penalties total in the game tonight, 11 belonging to the Boys. Not only does that hurt, but it gets very very annoying. Other than the Eagles fans, I am probably the only Cowboys fan who disagrees with the penalty on Samuel taunting Barber. If Asante was taunting Marion, he wouldn't have helped him up, or had Marion laughing along. I am sorry, that kind of stuff bothers me. :/

I know it's November and this is when Tony Romo is Superman, but this is a big win for Romo. The Eagles were in his face all night long. I really don't think there was a single defensive series by the Eagles where they did not blitz. He did throw an INT, but that was his first pick since the Denver Broncos. The Eagles also did not capitalize on that pick either. But all together, Romo played awesome tonight. I think he made a big statement by winning a big game. No this wasn't for the play offs, but this set the Boys apart from the division. I give major props to Tony for the way he played tonight. He threw 21/34 307 yards and 1 Touchdown. I think he also finally made Roy Williams happy. :] But Romo needs to be careful. He may be playing like Superman right now, but once December comes around, Superman is no more. But hopefully he can change that around this season.

How does everyone else feel about the Wildcat? I don't know how I feel about it yet. I loved it tonight, because it worked. But I don't know if it's something I want to see every game. It did work for a touchdown with Tashard Choice. ;] I think the Wildcat would work very well with Felix Jones. But like I said, I don't know if it's something I want to see very often.

Marion Barber seems to be getting back to his old self week by week. He certainly looked like himself tonight. He only ran for 50 yards, but those yards were big plays that kept the defense off of the field. Jason needs more patience with the running game though. He still isn't using the backfield to his full advantage. Maybe he is saving them for December?

The Boys are just discovering new receivers every week. First it's Miles Austin, then Sam Hurd comes up big, and now Kevin Ogletree. You know what I love about all three of these guys? Not only do they catch the balls, they gain some major yards after the catch. I say Sam and Kevin get more playing time. I think Tony Romo deserves six different guys to throw around to. Defenses won't know what the hell to do. Roy Williams and Patrick had a big game as far as yards go. Roy Williams finally made use of himself. But once again, Miles Austin saves the day. Everything is going right for this kid. His Yankees won the series, he is winning games, and he has a smile to win every fan over. :]

I am actually pretty happy with the defense tonight. They spent A LOT of time on the field. I felt like they were the on field the entire game. But, they still held the Eagles to 16 points, and shut out Jackson and Maclin. They had 4 sacks and 2 interceptions. Who else is impressed with Gerald Sensebaugh? I was really hoping the Boys would pick up Darren Sharper when Minnesota let him go, but I am pretty happy with Sensebaugh in the secondary. He has come so close to picking off quarterbacks every week, and he finally did tonight. He is big addition, and has become a major key in the secondary. Speaking of the secondary, they are getting better and better every week. Especially Mike Jenkins. He is without a doubt a force to be reckon with. The entire secondary is playing great coverage and making you regret catching the ball. It's about time. ;]

This was a big win for the Boys, but they have a tough game next week. I know the Packer's don't look like much, but don't let them fool you. The Cowboys don't have a very good record up in Lambeau, but I still think they can win this game. They just need to work on penalties, and keep doing what their doing. :]

Week 8: The boys are back in town.
    You Should Have NEVER
    Lost Your Starting Job.
The boys are on a winning streak and they look good. They are tied with the Eagles for the spot of the Beast In The East. Who do the boys play next week? The Eagles on Sunday Night Football. Couldn't have worked out any better. A couple of things the boys need to remember.

    001.
Keep The Positive Attitude. The boys are having a blast right now. Except Roy Williams. They got their offensive and defensive stride back, and found another new stride, special teams. :] Tony Romo is playing very very good right now and is in sync with all receivers; except Roy Williams.
    002. Don't Be Stupid. The Eagles may have lost to the Raiders, but they raped the Giants. They are only the thing in our way of being number one in the NFC East. The boys need to go out Sunday Night and be smart about everything they do. The penalties could very easily lose this game for us. They need to be calm, cool, and collected. Manage the clock and the ball. The Eagles are +11 in turnovers, maybe more after today. Don't hand this game to them.
    003. PLEASE Run The Ball. I know Tony Romo is playing good football right now, but Jason cannot put this game on his shoulders. The Eagles defense is better than the Chiefs, Falcons, and Seahawks. Tony has tore their secondary apart before, and the way he is playing right now, he probably could Sunday. But don't take that chance. Give the ball to all three healthy running backs and keep the play selection even.
This is a pretty big game in my opinion. If the boys win, they are sitting on top of the NFC East with a Miles Austin smile. :] If the boys lose, they are sitting a half game behind the New York Giants. I know they aren't playing good at all right now, but never under estimate the Giants. They tend to win Super Bowls when that happens. :/

Once again, I did not get to see the game. But I did see highlights, and for the third week straight, the boys looked good. :] I do realize that this was the Seahawks, but still. Winning games is a confidence booster, and also a step closer to the goal.

Tony Romo, you are playing wonderful right now! :] I am loving it. He has thrown 8 Touchdowns, and 0 Interceptions in the past three games. He has ripped secondaries apart, and frustrated the defensive coordinators. This needs to continue into next Sunday. He has struggled against good defenses so far this year. But now he has known weapon in Miles Austin. I think he has lost all hope in Roy Williams, which I don't blame him. The most important thing that Tony Romo needs to do next week is MAKE SMART DECISIONS. The Eagles secondary can either be embarrassed or dominating. The boys need to look at this game as if this is it. If we win the game, we win the NFC East and make the play offs. If we lose the game, we lose everything we worked for. Getting ahead in the division would seriously make the second half of our schedule not so bad. I wouldn't mind another game where Romo throws 21/36, 256 yards, 3 touchdowns and 0 interceptions. That is something I think all Cowboy fans would love to get used to. ;]

The running game has been slowed way down. Marion Barber finally got in for a score today, that's about it. I look for a lot more action out of all three backs next week. The boys need to keep up with the Eagles big plays. Felix Jones could definitely help in that area. Once again, Tony Romo had just about as many rushing yards as one of his running backs. Jason needs way more faith in the running game. I know Romo is playing soo good right now, and the boys are looking a lot like the 2007 Cowboys, but they cannot get away from the running game. Especially with a three headed monster. Jason needs to be thankful he has three healthy, good running backs.

Can Patrick Crayton PLEASE have his starting job back!? Has he not proven in the past two weeks that he was the wrong guy benched? No, his receiving stats have not been impressive; but he at least catches the damn ball. I have said this before, Crayton should have been the number one receiver at the start of the season, Roy Williams should have been number two. Roy Williams should have lost his starting job to Miles Austin, not Crayton. Patrick has way more speed than Williams, and can run any route. Crayton has good strong hands, he can make some pretty impressive catches. Please just put Grandpa Williams on the bench. He isn't getting the job done. I think I would rather see him get paid the ridiculous amount of money he is making sitting on the bench than being out on the field doing absolutely nothing. At least on the bench he is doing what is expected out of him. I am sorry, I am very frustrated with the idea of Williams being the number one receiver when he averages one catch a game. Oh, and two punt return for touchdowns two weeks in a row, good for you buddy. ;]

The defense played another decent game. Another sack for DeMarcus Ware, and another three sacks for the team. Terence Newman had yet another forced fumble which always helps. The Eagles are going to be a bigger test for the defense next week. Desean Jackson has been explosive because the opposing defense has allowed him to be. WE CAN NOT. This game could be over very quickly if we do not stop Jackson, Westbrook (if he plays), and McNabb. The boys need to get in Donovans face and frustrate him. They need to force turnovers, which is going to be a major challenge. From the highlights, the boys secondary has been playing good, and hitting hard. Don't stop playing like that. Ha, I see Bobby Carpenter had a sack today. Not impressed. I still have MAJOR Hate for the dude, and still don't understand why he is playing. I hate it when players get hurt, but a season ending injury to Bobby Carpenter would be great.

Despite the fact that it was the Seahawks, great game boys. :] Keep playing good football, don't turn the ball over, and stop with the stupid penalties. But don't forget to have fun and enjoy the game. ;]

Another great game for the Boys. I must say that Tony Romo has, over the past three weeks shown us all the quaterback he can be. I have doubted him for sure, but he has definately stepped up and played well and restored my faith in him.

Defensively, they played another solid game. The backfield looked good and covered the receivers well with the exception of a few plays.

Nice to see not a lot of penalties, and a more disciplined game all around. If they can keep it up, it could be a special year. I am excited for next week already.

As a sidenote, I will say that on the depth chart of receivers, Roy Williams is number 5. He is a bust, and I hope that this will be his last year as a Cowboy. Again, another great game, and a good way to start November and the important part of the season.

Week 7: Big Win For Big D.
    Celebrate kid, because you're awesome.
Once again I did not get to see the game because the state of Pennsylvania and Dish Network sucks. However, I did get to see highlights, so I am going to go off of that.
Tony Romo, welcome back kiddo. Was it just me, or did he remind you of the 2007 Tony Romo who kept plays alive? Not only did he have a great game, but he had an even better attitude. I think some weight has been lifted off of his shoulders with his new weapon. Miles Austin brings back what this offense lost, speed. Romo isn't having to stand around while the pocket around him collpases waiting for grandpa Williams. I'm sure having the three headed monster in the backfield is a bit of relief as well. :] Romo went 21/29 with 311 yards, 3 touchdowns, and NO TURNOVERS.  You're making defenders miss tackles, keeping plays alive, completing almost all of your passes, tearing apart a secondary, but most importantly, you are not giving the ball to the other team. Romo, keep playing at this level and we will win games.
Another big game for Miles Austin. I don't even know where to begin with this kid. 6 receptions for 171 yards and another 2 touchdowns? Not only does he have Tony playing better, but he is lighting up the scoreboard. He has strong hands and makes awesome catches. I am most impressed with yards after the catch. Yet another guy who does not go down easily. ;] Who else loves this kid smile? He reminds me of Heinz Ward, always smiling. He loves what he does and is probably a big sweetheart, but not somebody you want to play against. I was happy to hear Miles is a starting receiver, but I don't think he should be taking over for Patrick Crayton. I know Patrick only had 2 receptions for 9 yards, but he was only thrown to twice. He also had a touchdown and a punt return for a touchdown. I am happy for him. :] Make a statement buddy! Roy Williams is more than likely still sore from that brutal hit he took against the Broncos, but still. You are starting to play like TO. Tony gives you chances and you don't make anything out of them. Jason Witten played with broken ribs, sprained ankle, and a knee injury last year for several games and was still a factor. I know Roy is older, but you are playing for the Cowboys. Teams despise you, they are going to hit you hard. If you can't take it, give your spot to Patrick Crayton and accept the number three wide receiver spot. I'm sorry, I just think the Cowboys are wasting their time with this guy. Oh, I am happy to see Martellus finally got some catches today. Another kid who can be a big weapon.
Just about every pre-game show I watched talked about Dallas's running game. Everyone believed the only way to beat Atlanta was to run all over them. Ha, couldn't have been more wrong guys. Marion and Felix aren't healthy and are not playing well right now. Tony Romo ran for just about as many yards as Felix Jones. Like I mentioned before, I didn't get to see the game, but where was Choice? Does Jason Garrett not believe in this kid? Or did NFL.Com just not post his stats? Either way, when Marion and Felix are not playing well, Choice is the right choice. He has proved it time and time again. I know Jason has no patience with the running game, but there are going to be games in the future where the running game may be the key. I just hope he doesn't forget that. :/

HELLO DEFENSE! Coming into this game, Matt Ryan was only sacked twice on the season. Until he met DeMarcus Ware, Jay Ratliff and Marcus Spears. Slowly we are getting back to putting pressure on the quarterback and making things easier on the secondary. The rushing defense wasn't as dominate as it has been, but the passing defense was outstanding. Compared to past couple of weeks at least. Finally the boys are being consistent in creating turnovers and getting off the field. DeMarcus Ware, Terence Newman, and Jay Ratliff all had forced fumbles. Keep it up boys. ;] You know what happens you frustrate the QB with your big boys up front? Not only do you get sacks, force fumbles, and incomplete passes; you also get interceptions. Mike Jenkins who is becoming a pretty decent defensive back, and Orlando Scandrick picked Mr. Ryan off. I love it!
They need to keep this winning positive attitude for the rest of the season. I don't care if they are playing the worst team in the league, just remember how good it feels to dominate and play well. We already know how frustrating it is when you are not playing well and making nothing happen. This is a championship caliber team, they need to prove it. We go to Seattle next week. Will this be a repeat of Thanksgiving? I hope so. :]

    Hi -
Hi I'm new here I found this community today and decided to join since I'm on LJ the most anyways and I really want to make some Cowboys icons, Gifs and other stuff plus this seems like a nice community.

So I was wondering where would one be able to download or watch Cowboy's  Football games online in High Quality ? Or even High Quality Screencaps are okay too.

Week 5: Today, we're gonna make history.
    No Roy E Williams?
    No Problem.

This wasn't the prettiest win, but it will do. I am glad we have a bye week next week. It will give us a chance to re-group and fix some costly mistakes and injuries. I am hoping Felix Jones, Marion Barber, and Roy Williams will be healthy by week 7.We need all the play makers we can get. If we are winning these games, it's by a hair.

I thought Denver shot their selves in the foot last week, we really screwed ourselves over. This was the Kansas City Chiefs for crying out loud! This game should have NEVER went into over time. The boys have got too much talent to be playing the way they have been. Since when have we ever had problems in the red zone? Not that the penalties made anything easier. I can deal with a missed field goal by Nick Folk (I have a lot of respect for kickers), but an easy TD pass and catch I can't. This offense use to make everything look so easy. Now they can barely put 10 points up on the board. I seriously hope this bye week fixes a lot of our weaknesses. I am not looking for perfection, just for the boys to play up to expectations.

I don't know if the boys are just excited for the bye week next week, but the penalties were beyond ridiculous. There is no reason for 13 penalties of 90 yards! I wasn't able to watch the game because Dish Network and the state of Pennsylvania suck; But if I remember correctly, wasn't their a drive, or maybe several where half of those penalties were offsides? Seriously guys, you are better than that. I think they all need to go to a spa and learn to relax.

It was an ugly game, but there were some pretty exciting highlights. Tony Romo had an awesome comeback game. Once again, I know it was the Chiefs, but hey any team can win on any given day. Tony threw 20/34 for 351 and FINALLY 2 touchdowns! I know I say this all the time, but I seriously hope he can stay at this playing level. He is too good of a quarterback to be going back and fourth. He needs to keep a positive attitude, start being a vocal leader, and keep his head in the game. There are too many offensive weapons to not be throwing any touchdowns in a game. I know he is a 'gun slinger' but he really needs to slow his arm down a notch. This is football, not baseball. It's good to have a quick release, but you are going to take somebodies head off one of these days. All in all, good game Romo. We still believe in you. :]

Hello Miles Austin! You want to know what's really comforting? This is one thing I love about the Giants; Your back up players can also be big play makers. What a day for Austin. Not only did he make Cowboy history, but he won the game for us. 10 receptions for 250 yards and 2 touchdowns, those are pretty sweet numbers for a number three wide out. I'm not gonna lie, and I am not just saying this because he had a beautiful day, but I have always liked Miles. He seems like a good hearted kid who just wants to prove his spot on the team. They use to put him in for third down conversions, or even just to mix things up here and there. But I think he proved his talent today by breaking tackles and taking it all the way. If this is Tony's new TO, I am pretty happy with that. :] I'm not saying he will put up the numbers TO did (you never know though), but this kid can be, and has been a serious threat.

Another back up play maker, of whom we already knew of, Tashard Choice. Marion is clearly not 100% healthy. Only 8 carries that went for 92 yards and a touchdown is not to shabby of a day for a number three running back. But like I said, he already proved he can take over if Marion is struggling. ;]

DeMarcus Ware, CONGRATS big guy! :] He finally got his first sack and finished the day with 2 sacks. He has been soo close the past couple of weeks, but just couldn't get there. I am happy for him, and I am sure he is relieved. I am hoping he got his groove back and is going to make this a weekly thing. How about Keith Brooking? I think he is our Ray Lewis. He is one sick player and I love him! I was upset when we got rid of Zach Thomas, but I am happy now. He doesn't take anyone down easy. All together the boys had 4 sacks on the day. Slowly, but surely we are getting there. I am thinking, hoping, we will be the big sacking machine we were last year. Nothing comes easy in BIG D.

The boys need to get their play makers healthy, and keep everyone else healthy. They need to work on penalties, and turnovers. Four fumbles, are you kidding me? The boys also need to work on play calling, especially in the redzone. Well, actually Jason Garrett needs to work on that part. Don't go for the home run every time. Take time off the clock, chew up yards and wear down the opposing defense. I bet you the turnovers wouldn't be as bad if they just took their time and made smart choices. Like I said, we are too good of a team to be 3-2 right now. The NFC East is too tough of a division to fall behind in.

All I know about today's game is...
Jason Garrett* owes Miles Austin this week's paycheck. Horrible play calling yet again.

    * As well as whoever decided to keep feeding the ball to a clearly not-up-to-it Marion Barber.

    Help me, please.
Living in Pennsylvania has too many disadvantages. One them of being that the Eagles come over the Cowboys. :[ Dish Network is stupid and won't let me order the game. The site on NFL.Com doesn't work, I tried that in week 1. Does anybody know of any sites that won't keep pausing to keep loading, that will just play the whole game the whole way through? I get soo frustrated easily, which is why I am being soo picky. If you do, please let me know. Thanks soo much. <3
