Hello and welcome to Daisy Chains_Anonymously!

This is both a community and a project that is about to begin.

As most of the world knows, PostSecret is an anonymous place to submit secrets to someone and have them placed on a very popular website or in best-selling books. Gathering inspiration from the website, the video, and other sources, I decided I would start a project on my own. I was going to create inspirational small stories, messages, and secrets. After creating them, I would tape them to bathroom walls across the country in the hopes that someone would see them and either take them or find a smile in them. I planned on doing this when I went home for Thanksgiving, since I would be traveling over five states and plenty of gas stations would be available to me, as well as their bathrooms.

I wanted to inspire someone, give them a small bit of happiness, or share with them a secret never before heard.

At first, I was going to do this on my own and spread it a little bit, as much as one person could.

But some people brought it to my attention that this should be done by several people and should be a community. I agreed.

I thought to myself that daisies are a symbol of happiness. They can be passed between family members, children, friends, or lovers. They're gentle and sweet. A daisy chain is a symbol of light-hearted summer days as well as love or happiness. I wish that this be done anonymously and so it should be.

And, so, this community was created.

Let's get started!


What we plan on focusing on is inspirational stories or messages. We are encouraging people to take the first step in their dreams, realize that they're not so alone and not so crazy, realize the world is not always lost or lonely or bitter. You may post happy or sad secrets as well. However, DO NOT post up triggering images concerning self-mutilation, eating disorders, sexual violation, molestation, rape, or other traumatic images. These posts are supposed to be inspirational, not triggering. If you have a message that you think is positive, but might be triggering, please post it here first to gather the opinions of others in the group. You may feel this is an attempt at censorship, but these posts are, as stated before, supposed to be positive. Messages that trigger things, such as "thinspiration", are not inspirational.

If personal pictures are used, PLEASE blur the faces or otherwise distort the identity of the people in the photographs.

THIS COMMUNITY DOES NOT PROMOTE OR ENCOURAGE VANDALISM. We would like the messages/secrets to be printed out on paper and then taped to a wall, never carved in or glued on. The tape must be a scotch tape or something that will stay but will not harm the paint in the posted place.

I ask, that in order to further the growth of this community, to perhaps print on the back of the photo/secret/message the address to this community. Please DO NOT print it on the front image as that might cheapen the photograph or message it contains.

If you have a message that you feel is particularly inspiring, please share it here so that others may print it off and share it with others in other places.

Also, if you have pictures that you feel could contain messages, but can't seem to think of a message, post it here. We will find one for you. :)

Please do not use art or photographs from deviantart unless it is STOCK PHOTOS or USED WITH PERMISSION.I do not wish to hassle with some of the artists there, who might see their artwork (slim chance, but still a chance) or a fan might see their artwork and find it misuse, taking down the post and coming to this community ranting about art theft. Not saying all artists are this way, but I want to avoid the ones who are. Stock images are fine, as long as the artist gives permission to be used outside of deviantart.

Also, in order to keep posts going, please tell us where you posted your message! You don't have to include addresses or anything... just a city or a state. We prefer that it be a bit anonymous, of course, but it would be nice to know that the messages are getting out there :)
