That's right, we've hit the big four-oh-oh. Most of these people came by way of the
Daily Days Disaster Relief, which saw far more success than I could ever have predicted. All in all, we had a grand total of $175 from 25 generous donors. Unfortunately, as the title implies (and as our donors already know, because I've already told them),
( not everything has gone according to plan. ) Basically, Paypal restricted my account because I broke the rules. Granted, their website doesn't outright tell you the rules, but these are the rules regardless. I really screwed everything up, and I feel like you guys, being our watchers, deserve to know that.
I've already refunded all donations, but if you don't receive yours within the next few days, please let me know and I'll personally pay you back. Even if this money isn't reaching Oxfam through me, I'd really like to see it get there through someone else. That's why I'm asking you, even though this turned out to be a bust, to please donate to them (or to the organization of your choice) through their website,
http://www.oxfam.org. If you live in the United States, all donations made before February 28th, 2010 are tax-deductible. I won't ask, much less force you to prove that you donated the money that would have been donated through us. Even if you choose not to donate to anyone in the end, at least accept the graphics that have been made for you as an apology.
Once again, I'd like to apologize for the inconvenience. I hadn't intended for this to happen and I understand if I've lost your trust. If you donated and your request hasn't been completely filled, please let me know and I'll take care of it myself. I hope you won't take that out on my fellow iconists at 'dailydays,' or any of the iconists who helped make graphics for the Disaster Relief. They all worked really hard, so don't blame them for my mistake.
Thanks again for your help, and I hope you stick with us here at
dailydays. Pretty soon, we'll be back to your regularly scheduled programming.
