The tricorn is cute on its own, but I think it is much too small. I know the whole point is that it's a "mini" one, but it looks like it might blow off your head at any moment.

I love the fabric on your dress!

It's a wee bit tinier than optimal I suppose, but good thing it's got combs!

(Don't tell anyone, but the fabric is from a bedsheet I bought for the express purpose of dress-making).

Awesome! I always wanted to try bedsheets, but the ones I find are more expensive than fabric! :P

And the tricorn is still totally cute, I'm just a fan of the bigger ones in general. Then again, I probably can't say anything since I just bought a mini straw hat for my dress. XD

Ikea has solid colors for pretty cheap, especially when they are on sale.

You can get cheap sheets at Ross. Sometimes if shoppers pulled them out of the packaging, and it's no longer folded nicely, they mark them down in price.

The bows are made from a very wide bias tape (so the edges have already been folded in for me). Cut a piece a little over twice as long as how long you want your bows. Then I fold each end in towards the middle and sew them down. Then put another small piece around the middle, hiding all the unfinished edges.

the dress looks really pretty, but i have to agree that the tricon looks a little too small. maybe style up the hair to make it bigger so it offsets how small it is? idk~

but still, awesome coordination.
