As much as I love this OP, it tends to look a bit nightgown-ish with the empire waist. So I thought of that if I threw a corset over, it'll give a bit of a shape. I'm not too sure if the flocky velveteen works with the chiffon though, but I rather like how grownup it looks :D Then afterwards I went to kill monsters in the arcade and meet an old friend for dinner, so I changed into something more casual



Sorry for the bad lighting! I only got home around 11pm. The shoes, socks and hairclips are the same as above anyway.

I *looove* the Moitie OP with the corset over the top, it really shows off your lovely figure. I might well have to invest in a corset so I can try the same with my one...

I know! The first time I tried the OP on it was kinda "meh" since it's mid-calf length and looked a bit frumpy/dumpling-ish. Corsets are really good for curvy people who want to wear empire dresses...it stops you from looking too 'top heavy'

I'm not afraid of the top heavy look (I don't mind it with more mature styles), but rather the "is she pregnant?" look that I'm still afraid the empire waist might give me D:.

Yeahh...I'm just afraid it'll look really disproportionate to be so top-heavy, especially with a dress like this D: I once described it to my sister as "uncooked dumpling" because you bulge out on the top and it's straight down. Moitie dresses don't poof a lot, even with a petticoat (something about the cutting) so a bustier/corset does the trick by defining the figure.

........gothic lolita vampire maternity I guess? xD

I imagine it might be worse on me as there's the possibility of the underbust not *quite* finishing where my boobs do, because I'm so big. But we shall see when I get it. I've requested the invoice ^_^

I think it should be alright since it touches me on high-waist if I yank it down slightly, and I have a long torso. Most of their bodices ie. Meta, IW doesn't fit me right but this does.

hahaha if it was real, I would be broke D: I'm tempted to add channels at the side and slot in boning though, since the panels are so clearly defined. Ahhhhh we'll seee~ I need to check my uni timetable if I have hours to do it first~

thank you! actually it's really easy. you just tie a ponytail, make a 'hole' on the top and stuff your hair in (but not through) and clip it with a barette.

Random question about the mmm op, what is the actual max bust measurement on it? You mentioned that the waist is a little below an empire waist on you. I love the print but I fear the top heavy look.

I think the max bust is 44", max underbust is 42". I'm 35"bust/27"underbust and the fabric is gathered enough for it to be high-waist instead of empire on me. I hope that helps! If you're worried about being top-heavy, it's better to get the long version since the extra length balances the top more (mine is the long ver. as well)

All except the shoes, rofl, I mean, it's not like one -has- to wear mega-ass platforms with Moitie but less flat shoes are generally nice for most styles of Lolita imo XD
