When each day is sacred; when each hour is sacred; when each instant is sacred; earth and you; space and you; bearing and sacred through time; you’ll reach the fields of light. -Guillevic

I just discovered this wonderful community today, in conjunction with the beginning of my daily posts of inspiration over at my personal journal. I thought that the members here might enjoy these also, so if it is okay I'll be posting them over here whenever I can! To give you an idea of what I mean by inspirational posts, this is from my original post: "I've decided, to keep up my entries on LiveJournal, to post daily about something that inspires me to be a better person. Not to say that they're going to be all saintly, but just things that share happiness - things that I believe can make others smile like they made me smile. These can be photos, artwork, music, videos, role models.. Anything that strikes my fancy (who cares if that's a bit narcissistic? I have a very nice fancy, thank you very much :p)! So expect entries full of smiles and optimism, of sunshine and summertime, and of all that inspires." Hopefully this is allowed, feel free to add me as a friend, and - most of all! - enjoy the inspiration. Remember: smile, and the world smiles with you(: ( Follow the [fake] cut for my inspirational song of 6/1/2009 ) Current Mood: nervous Current Music: Song of the Birds -Ronan Hardiman

“Remember to be gentle with yourself and others. We are all children of chance and none can say why some fields will blossom while others lay brown beneath the August sun. Care for those around you. Look past your differences. Their dreams are no less than yours, their choices no more easily made. And give, give in any way you can, of whatever you posses. To give is to love. To withhold is to wither. Care less for your harvest than for how it is shared and your life will have meaning and your heart will have peace.” ~Kent Nerburn
“We must not, in trying to think about how we can make a big difference, ignore the small daily differences we can make which, over time, add up to big differences that we often cannot foresee.” ~Marian Wright Edelman
“When you're finally up on the moon, looking back at the earth, all these differences and nationalistic traits are pretty well going to blend and you're going to get a concept that maybe this is really one world and why the hell can't we learn to live together like decent people?” ~Frank Borman
“I think we Americans tend to put too high a price on unanimity, as if there were something dangerous and illegitimate about honest differences of opinion honestly expressed by honest men.” ~J. William Fulbright

“The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, the education, the money, than circumstances, than failure, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company... a church... a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice everyday regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past... we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% of how I react to it. And so it is with you... we are in charge of our Attitudes.” ~Charles R. Swindoll
“Weakness of attitude becomes weakness of character.” ~Albert Einstein
“There is little difference in people, but that little difference makes a big difference. The little difference is attitude. The big difference is whether it is positive or negative.” ~W. Clement Stone

"A couple of hundred years ago, Benjamin Franklin shared with the world the secret of his success. Never leave till tomorrow, he said, that which you can do today. This is the man who discovered electricity. You think more people would listen to what he had to say. I don't know why we put things off, but if I had to guess, I'd have to say it has a lot to do with fear. Fear of failure, fear of rejection, sometimes the fear is just of making a decision, because what if you're wrong? What if you're making a mistake you can't undo? The early bird catches the worm. A stitch in time saves nine. He who hesitates is lost. We can't pretend we hadn't been told. We've all heard the proverbs, heard the philosophers, heard our grandparents warning us about wasted time, heard the damn poets urging us to seize the day. Still sometimes we have to see for ourselves. We have to make our own mistakes. We have to learn our own lessons. We have to sweep today's possibility under tomorrow's rug until we can't anymore. Until we finally understand for ourselves what Benjamin Franklin really meant. That knowing is better than wondering, that waking is better than sleeping, and even the biggest failure, even the worst, beat the hell out of never trying." Grey's Anatomy
