x-posted to several Grey's and Dempsey communities, so forgive me if this shows up in your flist more than once...

When I discovered costumized mood themes a few months ago and found some Grey's Anatomy related once, I always wondered, why no one compiled a McDreamy Theme yet. At least I didn't find one anywhere. So, after a few months of wondering and feeling sorry for myself, that I can't use a McDreamy theme, I pulled myself together and started to create it for myself. It was a lot of work, but also a lot of fun and I'm rather pleased with the results. Here is a short preview...

After his usual workout at the Easton Gym, Patrick Dempsey drives his sporty Porsche 997 GT3 RS to Heritage Classics in Los Angeles on Friday to look at some classic automobiles.

Last week,the Grey’s Anatomy star earned another nickname – McGiver! The dad of three showed his philanthropic side when he unveiled a cancer center in his name at the Central Maine Medical Center, in his hometown of Lewiston, Maine.

“For a family to get a cancer diagnosis is devastating, and all the information out there can be overwhelming,” Dempsey, 42, said. “So I talked to my sister about a place where people could go for all this type of information and help. Knowledge is power.”

The Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope & Healing, will official open on March 31. His sister Mary will run the center, which was inspired by his mother Amanda Dempsey (she fought ovarian cancer and is not cancer free).

Patrick Dempsey Launches Center To Help Cancer Patients

LEWISTON, MAINE (NEWS CENTER) -- Millions of people watch Patrick Dempsey play Dr. Derek Shepherd, a.k.a. "Dr. McDreamy," on the TV show Grey's Anatomy every week. Monday, he came to Central Maine Medical Center to make a difference for real health professionals and their patients.

He was in Lewiston to launch The Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope and Healing. The center is designed to help cancer patients and their families get free information and support both online and at the hospital. The Center also will offer programs like massage therapy and yoga that are clinically proven to help cancer patients heal. And staff will be traveling to more rural areas to bring services to patients who may not be able to come to Lewiston.

The cause is important to Dempsey because his mother, Amanda, has been successfully treated for ovarian cancer at CMMC three times. His sister, Mary, also works there.

Dempsey said, "I think that it's very important for anybody going through cancer treatment today is just to have a person there, so you're not being treated like a number and that's what we're trying to acheive."

The Patrick Dempsey Center's facility won't be open until later this month, but the website with cancer and wellness information is up and running.

Patrick Dempsey and his perfectly coiffed hair join director Kevin Lima and music composer Alan Menken at an Enchanted press conference at Park Hyatt Tokyo on Monday in Tokyo, Japan.

The live-action/traditional animation hybrid film opens on March 14 in Japan.

Five all-new episodes of McDreamy and the rest of the Grey’s Anatomy cast will kick off starting Thursday, April 24.

Patrick Dempsey presents the first Subaru Boxer Turbo Diesel Motor at the Shoko Club in Madrid, Spain on Friday. The motor is the “first to equip passenger cars and has the benefits of balancing a low point of gravity, low vibrations, compactness and high rigidity.”

Tonight is “Good Medicine,” a musical benefit at UCLA’s Royce Hall put on by the cast of Grey’s Anatomy and Private Practice (sans Kate Walsh) to benefit crew members who were affected by the strike. Guess McDreamy won’t be making it either. Cars are important!
