Hi all,
I'm not sure if this would be the place to put it or if I'm allowed to but here goes :P
For those of you who missed The Sideshow or want to watch it again, ABC1 is playing repeats! Sorry if people already knew this but I only just found out and thought I'd share it heh. Thursday mornings at 12:25am. So in TV guides it shows the time slot during the LATE section on a Wednesday. If that makes sense. I also don't know which episode they're playing this week either >.<"
Also I plan to tape the episodes, then transfer them to my computer [once I get the bloody program working again lol], and uploading the episodes on You Tube, like I have been doing with the previous episodes. I would start uploading episode 6 right now but the tube is under maintenance... So look out for ep 6 in the next couple of days on my channel :)

A friend sent me an Mp3 of Paul McDermott singing Australia Fair. It's excellent, hell I felt patriotic and I'm not Australian. It's obviously off the cuff and there's another chap on it who introduces him and can be heard telling the audience to stand up.
I just wondered if this rings any bells with anyone and whether they could provide some context and ideally a heads up on where to find an accompanying video if such a thing exists. |

Just wondering if anyone could help me, i emailed GNW to get tickets and after no reply i called and spoke to someone who said "ohh yer, your on the list didn't you get the confirmation email" i said No and they said they would resend it but for some reason i have been missing a few emails lately is there anything i need to know that would be in said email???? The person i spoke to on the phone said they had received my email and i was on 'the list' but i am a very paranoid person ......... just hate to turn up and have it all go to shit, probably the only time i will get to go to a taping unless they do a Perth show later! |

Hey I was just wondering What is your Favourite DAAS Song?
There is way to many to list so I'll start and if your's isn't there add it and put a I to represent it and lets find out what the board loves most. If you can't pick more then one thats ok the max is three. :)
Copy and Paste it. Also every five can you put a space so its easy to count.

I'm a member of an Australia and New Zealand-centric torrents site.
It has lots of splendid stuff on it, but relevant to here is Good News Week and Sideshow. If anyone who, like myself, doesn't live in Oz and therefore can't watch Good News Week on TV would like an invite code then send me a PM. I'll need a user name and an email address.
I can only invite two people at the moment, but if more are up for it then perhaps I can sign up two people who would then also sign up two people and so on until we're all enjoying a regular fix of that fine and hugely talented Mr McDermott fellow. |

I have started working at my TAFE library today and guess what I found?
The 1993 MICF Debate; Is Laughter Better Then Sex?
Now I know it doesn't have Paul on it, but I wanted to share it with you guys.
However it is on VHS; anyone know how to get it off? and Whether there is any freeware avaiable?

I put a word doc in the 'OTHER' folder. it has a bunch of old articles in it so i hope you enjoy. They are pritty interesting and i think we don't have most of them on the site already.Just so you don't get to exited thay are written up not scaned. but they are good anyway :)

(also i deleted one that was just strange, it was from a very small newspaper and it just sounded very storkery, so i decided to get rid of it) |

I am wanting to find out who has copys of old GNW from the abc or early ten stuff. i would love to get my hot little hands on them if i could! i read a post from WAY back about someone having them (i cant find it now) but if there is am angle out there who would like to share i would love to. i have a limited DAAS (and some GNW) collection and need MORE! |

Anyone here watch the fandom_secrets community?
Check out today's secrets. I squee'd aloud when 120 came up - people stared, embarrassing - and then 171 turned out to be a DAAS secret too. I think the OPs have done excellent work there. Maybe the secrets will lure people towards the goodness that is DAAS.

Well i just found something interesting i forgot i had...and we all might want to read :)
Back in the day when i use to get my Paul and DAAS info from MOSH i copied and pasted a whole heap of typed up articls from the site, because every second day someone threatened to close it down (i think there were only like 2 people posting on it). I did not have time to read all the articls so i copied them instead, and i just found them again.
SO they are interviews with paul and article written by paul BUT they are not scans, people have just written them up.
what should i do, do you (daaspron)want to read them and if so where? do you want me to add them as a word document to the ftp site or just post them here?
