There are certainly some wonderful Freak Nation fics out there, and certainly some incredible ones that fix the infamous Max and Logan hand-holding scene. (Including a particularly wonderful fic by Fergus80, who was also kind enough to add PG-13 options so people like me can still read. :) )

But hopefully this challenge will inspire a new twist on Freak Nation that hasn't been done yet. :)

Normal wound up accepting transgenics because he helped Gem when she went into labor and had Eve, but...what if Gem hadn't been there? What if it had only been Max and Alec? How would that have changed things? Without Gem, Dalton, Joshua, Mole, CC, Logan, and even Original Cindy to help them, how would Max and Alec handle things? Could they still beat White, and convince Normal and the others that they aren't the bad guys?

Requirements:
1. Nothing above PG-13.
2. Max and Alec can be the only transgenics there, and their human friends also have to be absent. (Though Sketchy is alright if you want to include him. :) )
3. At some point Max and Alec have to both use their transgenic abilities in front of everyone (i.e. Alec taking the gun from Normal. You can use that same scene if you want, but it might be fun to do something else too).
4. There is at least one POV scene from Normal and one POV scene from one of the other messengers. It can be an original character, or someone we've seen like Sky or the girl who originally talked back in FN.
5. At some point, the messengers have to ask at least a few off-the-wall questions they've heard on the news. (i.e. "Do you really eat children?" "You really don't feel pain?" )

It's up to you if you want to make Max and Alec a couple. Though it is always nice... :D

I really hope someone will write this one...oh, please, please, please?!
