About:

This community is for fans of the Japanese style Decora, and the girls (and boys!) who dress this way. Decora is the colorful, accessorised, and coordinated style found in Harajuku in the late 90s, in the FRUiTS book, and now making a major comeback in Japan. A bit more information can be found here, and in the memories. Masamania.com also posted a large photo gallery of modern decora here.

Don't be scared, we're cute AND friendly - but read all the rules and the memories before posting.

...Rude comments and posts. Drama goes elsewhere plzkthx. This rule is now strongly enforced in this community; you will recieve one warning before being banned from commenting. Other consequences will depend on severity. Constructive crit is one thing - rudeness is completely different! If you are having problems with a member, contact a mod first!

...Offtopic and pointless posts. If your post contributes nothing to the community (for example, a post only containing, "I wish I had more bracelets, it would be great!"), has nothing to do with Decora fashion, or your outfit is not of or strongly inspired by the Decora style, it will be deleted.

...Auctions/sales! Sorry, but there are plenty of places for them. Try

decora_hoshi. One exception to the rule is posting photos of items found on eBay - no links, please.

If your sales post blatantly states that you did not read the rules ("Delete if this is prohibited," etc), it will be deleted and you will be banned. Contact a mod if you have questions.

d_e_c_o_r_a is a community centered around the specific Japanese decora look, honest help, and strong constructive criticism.
