I had plans for going to bed early last night. Honest. So I'm not quite sure how it was that I was up past 1am, but I'm blaming mpreg.

Well, sort of.

Okay, let me back up.

After a great workout (where, seriously, there's this new guy at my gym - well, new to me - with THE most gorgeous arm tattoo, it looked like a Roman vase, I kid you not), I came home & annkiri came over for dinner & Olympics watching & to say goodbye, since she's headed back to Austin for, I dunno, like, school or whatever, it's not important, the IMPORTANT thing is that she's leaving me. :(

But we had a great time & she even left early!! And then I sat down to answer my email (which I did), and somehow, I wound up clicking on this Legolas/Eomer mpreg fic, and I dunno, I just started reading it. I never fucking read mpreg. I mean, we're talking major squick factor here. And the fic, all 36 chapters of it (I swear to God, I am not making this up) wasn't even all that great, either, so I can't even say I was sucked in by the gorgeous prose or great story or anything.

I have no idea what the hell is wrong with me these days.

I can't even claim that I stayed up late reading Phelps/Lochte, man. Which would at least be, I dunno, relevant. Since they're my new boyfriends & all, but only because they're just so incredibly BFF, and we all know what I sucker I am for best friends who fuck. ;)


Also, just because, a text conversation between me & my sister this morning:

Me: What'd you get Mom for her birthday? (which was last week, btw, and no, I haven't gotten her anything yet, hence the text)
Sis: A hug.
Me: Seriously??
Sis: Oh, and my love. I'm on a budget, yo.

I had so many plans yesterday that involved errands & washing my car & such...which, of course, meant that I stayed home instead & never even got out of my pajamas except to shower. *g*

But I did get things done around the house, which was nice.

I also had a very strange dream about my ex last night, too. Strange in the we were having really hot & heavy sex kind of way, which, just, wtf, brain, wtf?? Not that Crazy!Ex was bad in bed (far from it), but seriously, I haven't thought about him in, like, forever, and out of nowhere, I'm having sex dreams about him and NOT hot baseball players or hot swimmers who like to touch each other or, y'know, Josh Hartnett??? *sighs*


I have recs for later on today, and possibly requests for ficlets, I'm not sure. I mean, the reason why I didn't sign up for spn_remix this year was so I could concentrate on my longer fics that I really need to work on, but, predictably, now all I want to write is shorter fics. Oh, brain...

And, God, how gracious was Michael after in constantly mentioning his relay teammates for all the relays & giving them the credit they so richly deserved? And how fucking AWESOME was Piersol for what he said about Michael just after they won? That's some serious class right there. :)


Also, seriously, who is writing the Ian Thorpe/Michael Phelps after Michael got the 8th medal??? I mean, did you all SEE that Ian was sitting right in front of Michael's family during the relay? *g* Plus, I'm pretty sure that Ian owes Michael a blowjob or something after predicting that Michael wouldn't go 8 for 8.


In other news, had a great time tonight with coolwhipdiva at the Dodgers/Brewers game. Saw some fucking spectacular plays, including Gabe Kapler robbing Russell Martin of a 2-run homer, Corey Hart making a spectacular catch, Michael Cameron making another spectacular catch, Manny Ramirez tying the game up in the bottom of the 9th, then striking out to end the game in the bottom of the 10th. Got to see Craig Counsell's 1,000 career hit, which was very cool. And Derek Lowe pitched a great game, as well (and didn't even get the loss). \o/
